"You know when you're so tired because you're up so early that you feel like you're getting the flu?" Maddy asked.

"Yes, I hate that"

"I'm feeling that now" Maddy groaned, as they walked away from customs and into the terminal. It was just after 5am.

"Oh no" David said, putting his arm around her as they walked. "You need to wake up and eat something"

"Very true"

They sat down and David went to get him and Maddy something to eat, bringing his backpack and checking for approximately the 43rd time that morning to make sure the ring was there. It was. The two spent about an hour in the terminal before boarding. As usual, David had booked first class tickets. Unlike usual, it was Air France first class, which was miles above other first class. The tickets were expensive, but David wanted the trip to be memorable.

"David, how much did this cost?" Maddy asked in disbelief as she saw the seats.

"It's a celebration trip, remember?"

"You're too much" She laughed, sitting in her seat.

About 2 hours later, David had fallen asleep. He woke up after a 2 hour nap to find that Maddy wasn't in her seat. She came back about 10 minutes later.

"Are you ok?" He asked upon seeing her. Her hair was tied up messily and she looked sick.

"Not feeling great" She said, drinking water.

"How so?" He asked, sitting up and leaning across the little partition to feel Maddy's head.

"I'm hoping i'm not getting sick" She laughed. "We did hit some pretty gnarly turbulence, though, while you were sleeping, I can't believe you didn't wake up"

"I hope you don't have the flu"

"I hope so too" Maddy laughed.

She laid her seat down into a bed and fell asleep. They both woke up and kept each other awake to ensure they could sleep when they got to France. They landed in Paris about 6 hours later.

"How are you feeling?" David asked as they walked through the terminal.

"Good, I think those were just two isolated incidents. I definitely don't think i'm sick."

"Good"

They disembarked into the terminal and went through customs.

"Damn, Paris looks kind of boring" David joked as they exited the airport, following a man who had been holding a sign with their names on it out of the airport and into a black car.

Maddy lightly smacked him.

"Don't fucking start" She laughed.

They drove for about 45 minutes due to traffic before reaching the city. David looked out the windows with the excitement of a little kid on Christmas. Maddy pointed landmarks out to him as well as places he asked about. He nearly lost it when he saw the Eiffel tower. They got to their hotel, the Shangri-La, and checked into their room that overlooked the tower. David stared out the window as Maddy put her stuff down.

"Beautiful, huh?" Maddy said, as David rushed out onto the balcony.

Maddy looked at the time on her phone and waited about 30 seconds, until David gasped as it began to twinkle.

"NO FUCKING WAY" He said. "That is so cool"

Maddy smiled, pulling her pajamas out of her bag. She suddenly felt sick again. As not to distract David, she quietly went to the bathroom. She changed, washed her face, brushed her teeth, and came back out. She decided not to tell David.

The next morning, Maddy woke up before David and immediately felt ill. She went to the bathroom and began to panic a little. She quietly got dressed, sent David a text explaining she was going to the store to get some makeup she had left at home in case he woke up, and went to the nearest pharmacy. She returned about 20 minutes later to see David awake and editing a video. She put the bag down near the door, and went over to chat with him. They talked about their plan for the day, and then Maddy went into the bathroom. I can't believe i'm gonna propose to her tonight. David thought as he watched her walk into the bathroom. Maddy took the box she bought out. I'm overreacting. She told herself.

She read the instructions on the box, took both pregnancy tests, and flipped them both over. In the meantime, she scrolled on her phone, not reading anything. After 3 minutes, she turned both tests over.

The last chapter was filler (but also sorta necessary) so I double posted and ended it on a cliff hanger. Am I evil? Maybe
