"What's up guys welcome back to views, the podcast where Jason gives me marriage advice" David started the podcast.
He and Maddy had been back from Paris for a couple of days, and had posted about their engagement on instagram. After the proposal, they had eventually strolled down to the Champ de Mars where David took a picture of Maddy laughing with her eyes closed holding up her hand with the ring on it after telling her a stupid joke. Maddy took a picture of her hand on a smiling David's chest in front of the Eiffel tower.

"That is so crazy, can we talk about how crazy that is? You're engaged"
"I am engaged"
"So for anyone who only follows us on this podcast- David has been dating Maddy Laurent for about a year and a half now..."
"I can take it from here"
"Take the floor"
"I will. So the DACA travel ban was lifted, right? And I had been thinking about proposing to Maddy, but not like.. with a plan or anything. So once the ban was lifted, the first thing I thought was 'Let me take Maddy to Paris and let me propose to her there' because the ban was only guaranteed to be lifted for 90 days and nobody still has any clue if its permanent or not. For those of you who don't know, Maddy's parents are French so she's been to Paris like 100 times and she speaks fluent French, so she really knows the city and everything. She knows i've been dying to go to Paris, so she didn't even think anything of it when we went over because, like, she's been there so many times. But yeah, I proposed to her on the first morning in our hotel room."
"I thought you were gonna propose in front of the Eiffel Tower?"
"Our hotel room overlooked the Eiffel Tower so i'm gonna count it"
"What happened with that though? You were so dead set on night in front of the Eiffel Tower?"
"I... don't know. It was just the right time"
"If I had told you like, 4 years ago that you'd be engaged to Maddy Laurent would you have believed me?"
"Oh my God... Did I ever tell you I had the fucking biggest crush on her before I moved to LA?"
"No!"
"Yeah, she was one of my first friends on vine and she's just so funny. And she's so cute. If you don't know, my fiancee is very pretty"
"Yeah, I can vouch for that. But did you ever ask her out or anything?"
"No, no, I found out she had a boyfriend. And then I dropped it after that until I was single again, and she was also single"
"That's so wild"
"Yeah, but like, who knows, obviously it's good that we got together when we did, though"
"And now you're actually getting married. Do you know when you want to have the wedding?"
"No idea, I mean within a year or two"
"Have you talked about kids?"
David shut off the equipment.
"David what the fuck?" Jason asked.
"Dude I have to tell you"
"What? What could possibly be this important?"
"I need to tell you something"
"Why can't this be in the podcast?"
"Because i'm not ready to go public with it"
"What?"
"Maddy's pregnant"
"No she's not" Jason said, putting both palms on the table and leaning forward.
"Jason I swear to fucking God she is. I swear to God I am not joking. I literally have pictures on my phone from the ultrasound"
"David..."
"Jason, I am being so serious and I regret pranking you and joking with you about things so many times because I really need you to believe me that Maddy is pregnant"
"Ok, ok, I believe you, I've never heard you talk like this... are you fucking serious David? Is that why you proposed?"
"I'm so serious. It's not why I proposed, we didn't find out until we were in Paris"
"What do you mean?"
"So on the way to the airport Maddy felt sick but she said she thought it was because she was up so early because it was like 4:30am. Then when we were on the plane she felt sick again, and she said it was probably motion sickness. Then apparently she was sick in the hotel two more times, so she went to buy a test before I got up and she took two and both were positive"
"Holy shit David"
"I know, we were not expecting it at all. That's why I proposed in the hotel room, it was like 5 minutes after she told me"
"I... I mean congratulations dude"
"Thank you"
"So you went to Paris to propose to your girlfriend and you guys found out you were pregnant?"
"Yes, how fucking crazy is that? I'm sorry I know we need to finish this podcast, but I had to tell somebody"
"Am I the first person you told?"
"Well... yeah"
"You haven't even told your parents yet?!"
"No, I want to tell them in person"
"David... that means so much to me"
"I'm just excited. And nervous. But excited"
"This is all crazy, I'm so happy for you.
David laughed.
"Alright, let's wrap up this podcast"
