The bite

Michelles POV.

The crisp fall wind tickled my nose, turning it red. I pulled up my scarf over my nose. My black sneakers make thumping noises as I take each step on the concrete.  

"Heyy Mich!!" A voice called behind me. I knew the voice anywere. They were the ones who gave me that stupid nickname, 'mich' short for Michelle. I tried to ignore the voice even more as a hand was gently placed on my shoulder. 

"Hey Kourtney." I said to kolbee,giving up trying to ignore him. He frowned, 

"Now mich you know my name is kolbee." I gritted my teeth. 

"My name isn't mich, its michelle. I thought you were smart enough to know this kourtney." 

"Whatever." We waited at the bustop as a couple of other kids showed up. One was a girl named ashley and her jerk brother nick. He also calls me mich. I heard a couple of snickers from behind me. I tried ignoring them. I shoved my hands in my skinny jeans pockets, and stared at my feet. 

"Hey mich, are you ignoring us?" Nick said snickering. I kept my mouth shut. I felt somone put a hand on my shoulder jerking me around. I feel someone pull my hair. Ashley I assume. Nope its nick... great. 

"I said are you ignoring me!?" Nick snaps this time. I shake my head quickly. Not again! Not today! I thought worriedly. What if he beat me again??. I knew I should defend myself but I wasn't as strong as him. I shivered at the thought of him beating me again.  

"Answer me damn it!" Nick growled becoming more and more irritated.Ashley snickered in the background. 

"N-no nick." I replied in a shaky voice. I heard the loud annoying noise of the busses engine. Saved by the bus. I ran from nicks grip and literally jumped on the bus. The others followed. The first day of school was going to be terrible! I thought silently. I sat at an empty seat on the bus. No one usually bothered me last year, things might be different this year though.

After a bunch of stops later we finally arrived at school. Junior year... yayy! I thought sarcastically. I got off the bus cautiously avoiding Nick, kolbee, and ashley. I walked quickly to my class not bothering to say hi to anyone. Who would want to talk to me anyways? I got to my home room class and sat by myself in the back.  

After everyone is in the classroom and the door shuts there's a knock on the door. 

"Come in!" Mrs. Green shouts through the door... Alex heart came in and sat in the seat mext to me. I felt electric currents run up and down my spine as he sat down. I didn't like him at all through the years before but now I just felt drawn to him. He was the most popular guy in school. He was head of the football team, and basketball team, he was also the most sexiest guy in the school. Almost as if he heard my thoughts Alex's head snapped up. He didn't look at me though. Duhh he can't hear your thoughts!!  

I shivered at the thought. I mentally smacked myself. I peaked at him through the corner of my eye. He was staring at me... Wait what???!!!! I looked at him once more. Alex was gripping his desk, it looked like sweat was forming a smooth film over his forehead. Once he notisted I saw him he looked away,quicky. I bit my lip. What is wrong with him today?? I drummed my fingers against my desk. The teacher keeps rambling on about the rules, blah blah blah! Classes will probably be boring for the first few weeks. Ughh!

I find myself fslling asleep through most of my classes. Plus all of my classes so far I have with alex. Atleast during lunch I wont have to sit next to him... not that I didn't like to... it just feels weird being around him. I sighed as I walked into the lunch room. I quickly grab an apple and a sandwhich and head to a table by myself. I feel eyes on my back as I sip some water.  

"Ahem." A voice says from behind me. I freeze and slowly turn. 

"Alex?" I say coughing on my water. He smiles showing his dimples. Alex had gorgeous blue eyes, sandy blonde hair, dimples, six pack, plus he's 6ft 4 in. He was sooo sexy. I felt warmth slowly creep up my neck to my cheeks. 

"Can I sit with you?" Alex asks smiling warmly. I narrow my eyes at him. I bet the boys put him up to this. Its probably a joke to see if I like him so there will be another thing to make fun of me for. I keep my face as hard as possible. 

"No." I reply smoothly. Alex frowns and raises an eyebrow. 

"Why not?" 

"Because.... I don't want you too." 

"What if I sat down next to you anyways?" I shrugged ignorng him. Apparently he can't take a hint because he sits his ass across from me. I stopped eating no longee hungry and just sipped my water. 

"Why arnt you eating?" Alex asks annoyingly. 

"I'm not hungry." His hand accidentally brushes my arm as he reaches for his milk. Electric currents run up and down my arm.  

"Come on eat. You will become nothing but skin and bones." I shrug. 

"I don't care I'm not trying to impress anyone." I say stubbornly. Alex frowns. 

"Please eat?"  

"No.... why are you sitting over here anyways? You have never once talked to me or sat with me. I've known you for five years and you start now. Is this some joke because I don't care. I'm done with being made fun of so just leave me alone and sit with the guys." I say with tears pricking my eyes. Alex now wears a hurt expression. He is such a bad lier. I get up and run from the lunch room before he can say anything I run  

"Wait Michelle! Please give me a chance!!" Alex shouts running after m. A chance of what?? Why does he keep running? I run outside and kick my legs harder. I hear alex's feet pound against the ground. I feel strong arms gently wrap around my waist. As I'm slowly lifted up in the air I scream, " Let me go Alexandria!" Alex bursts out laughing. 

"Did you just call me alexandria?" He says laughing still. 

"Yes now let me down!!" Alex slowly stops laughing. 

"Only if you promise not to run." 

"Fine. I couldn't outrun you anyways its like your the flash." I say annoyed. Alex sets me down.  

"Good point." Alex says nervously running his hand through his hair. What would he be nervous about? Strange.... 

"Uhh anyways I wanted to ask if you would give me a chance at proving I can be a good friend. Please?" 

I stared at him for awhile. 

"One... chance." I said slowly. 

"Thank you Michelle!!" He says taking a step forwards but stopping himself and backing up. 

"Why do you want to be my friend anyways? I'm a nobody." I say frowning.alex's eyes darken. 

"Who tells you that?? I will rip their heads off!" Alex says angrily.why would he care? This has been going on for awhile anyways. He cupped my chin makig me look at him. 

"Tell me..."
