The bite

chapter 9

Michelles POV.

Alex! Its alex! He found me. Apparently marcus sensed him bacuse before I said a word he grabbed me and brought me outside.

"Screw it I'll turn you into a wolf now. Full moon or not it will still count but you wont be my luna untill I bite you under the full moon." I struggled to get away from him.

"PUT MY MATE DOWN!!!" Alex howled. He lunges at marcus knocking him away before he sinks his wolf fangs into my neck. I was flung away from marcus. The air was knocked out of my lungs as I hit the houses brick wall. I heard a crack as I slumped down onto the grass. I felt warm liquid trail down my neck. Reaching to wipe the blood off I felt my back start gushing blood.

"Shit..." I murmur under my breath. I look up and see alex hovering over me.

"Michelle?" He asks worriedly. Marcus slowly creeps up from behind him.

"Alex!!" I scream pointing. To late marcus leaps on his wolf body and attacks. Flinching away from the fight I see a wolf coming towards me. The wolf had pretty auburn fur. It slowly walked towards me.

"Please don't hurt me.." I beg. It tilts its head. It sticks its head underneath me litfing me up on its back. I gasp. The wolf trots awat from the battle. Apparently marcus sees this because he breaks away from alex and leaps at the auburn wolf.

"Mine!!" Marcus growls. The wolf leaps away. Another wolf sees tthis and breaks away from one alex's wolves apparently its the auburn wolves mate. He leaps at marcus ripping him away from me and the auburn wolf. Marcus growls at him making the wolf back down. Marcus growls a couple of times at the wolf obviously saying somthing. Alex lunges at both wolves. I hear flesh being torn. Blood sprays me. The auburn wolf howls. Marcus runs towards me taking me away from the auburn wolf. I feel a warm sensation over come me as I feel his fangs plunge into my neck. Nooo!!! I love alex not marcus! Alex should be the one to bite me. I tried to wiggle away but I feel the wolf blood enter my system. It feels so good. The warm sensation over comes me. I'm paralyzed. I wouldn't want to move anyways. I feel wonderful. Alex snatches me away from marcus. Marcus grins.

"Too late she's mine." Marcus hisses through his bloodied teeth.

"Mine!" Alex shouts. He shifts into a human.

"Michelle?" He whispers.

'Get him away he's not our mate!!' Something shouts in my head.

'Alex is our mate!" I screech back.

"Michelle ill kill him for what he did." Alex whispers. I close my eyes as the wolf genetics take over.

"It burns." I whisper. It really did! It felt like acid was eating at me. I let out screams of pain. If this is what it was like for alex then it really must have been hell. I sobbed. My bones crunched and snapped. Alex let our small howls.

"Am I dying?" I whisper.

"No baby your making your first shift.... it turns out your an alpha too. Your-your the super alpha... I'm going to try to help it but after you shift I'm going to have everyone hold you down we don't know if your wolf is really dangerous as they say..." he said letting his voice trail off. I'm the super alpha?!?!? No no no no. This can't be.

'Its true sweetheart so get used to it.' My wolf snapped.

'Who are you?' I ask it.

'Your wolf. I'm jenelle.'

'Being a bitch isn't going to help our situation.' I say reminding her.

'Haha I can't help it I'm a female wolf.'

'Woooow.' The pain brings me back.

"Baby are you talking to your wolf? My wolf can sence her... her names jenelle right?" I give him a stiff nod.

"Ask her if she can maintain controll while she's in wolf form."

'Well?' I ask her.

'Yeah I'll be fine. You guys act like I'm some monster.' I stayed silent.

"She says yeah."

"Okay good. I'm going to spead up your shifting process. I'm sorry baby." He says before snapping my bones. I screamed.

'He's speeding up the process.' My wolf repeated. Marcus ran to us.

"What the hell?!?!" He shouted picking me up and cradling me in his arms.

'Mate!!' My wolf howls. Alex growls loudly and snatches me away. I relax in his arms as much as I can through the pain. Marcus attempts to get me back but he stops obviously seeing I'm in pain. I howl.

"Shhh its okay baby." Alex murmurs in my ear. I curl up in a ball as the invisible fire engulfs me. Pain is all I feel. I let out screams and sobs. I slowly drift in and out of sleep.

"Can she die from this?" Marcus asks.

"No but it probably feels like it to her." Alex replied.

"I'm sorry michelle this will hurt like hell but after this you will heal and shift." Wait what's he gonna do?

He hugs me and the cracks my spine.I scream sending echos through the trees. I don't cry. I don't breathe. All I feel is pain. Nothing but pain. Its all I can think about. I soon pass out into a dreamless sleep.

(The next day)

Alex's POV.

Michelle actually died.... I killed her.... all my fault.... sure her heart started up again but she died for five minutes. She's sleeping now and hasn't shifted into her wolf yet. Jenelle told my wolf kaleb that she was fine and that the shift was killing her not me..... I didn't believe any of it. Well here I am. Sitting next to michelle with the new pack docter with marcus..... it wasn't easy not to kill him at first but we both made a deal that we would battle again once we both knew michelle was safe and well. I stroked her cheek. She layed on a hospital bed in the pack doctors house. She healed completely on the outside but on the inside she was still getting better. I gave her a lot of my blood to make sure she healed. I shivered at the thought of her dying again. Permanently.

"Alex?" A voice said from the doorway. I ignored the voice. They cleared their throat.

"What!?" I snapped not looking up from michelles peacefull face.

"Umm she may be asleep for a couple more days.... not too long, she's healing pretty quickly for a wolf." The doctor said. Yeah I didn't tell anyone about michelle being the 'super alpha'. I have my reasons.... they wouldn't trust her and they would probably kill her in the end. Sure they might smell the power radiating off her soon but not yet.... I still have time to break the news to my pack. Michelle fidgeted in her sleep. I jumped up.

"Michelle? honey are you awake?" I asked.

"Alex....." she murmured in her sleep. Sighing I sat back down. This was going to be a painful, lonley, couple of days.......
