chapter 14

Alex's POV.

Last night was amazing. I don't regret anything. I slowly turn over to michelles side of the bed. She's gone? Where could she be?

'Calm down she's probably downstairs.' Kaleb says nonchalantly. He sounded suspicious as if he was hiding somthing.

'Kaleb.. what are you not telling me?'

'Nothing! How come you always assume I'm hiding something??'

'What happend?!?!? Where is she?!?' Jumping up I pull on a pair of jeans and I run downstairs. Michelles sent lingers in the air.

'Where is she dammit!!' I feel kaleb cringe as he tries to stay silent. As a start to shift I let out a howl. My body locks in place

'What the hell are you doing?' I ask kaleb.

'You can't look for her! Please she's fine!' I can call her through our new mate mind link!

'Shit! I thought you for-' blocking kaleb out I call out to michelle.

'Michelle ? Baby are you okay??' I ask. Nothing. Silence.

'Michelle its me alex!' I try again. Still nothing. Growling I leap and shift in the air. I head towards the forest. I can't loose her again... my paws pound against the damp soil causing me to slip and nearly fall. I extend my claws to keep balanced.

'Alex....' michelle finally replys.

'Michelle! Yes its me alex. Why did you run away?? What happend? Were you kidnapped?!!??!' I asked rapidly

'I'm fine don't worry.' She replied in a monotone like voice.

'I love you.'

'I love you too...' she said in the monotone voice.

'Are you okay? You sound.... different...?'

'I'm fine...' she replied. I stayed silent. This didn't sound like michelle at all!.

'Were are you I'm coming to get you and vring you home.' This time she stayed silent. It didn't matter to me weather this dtrange michelle replied or not because I can sniff her out... after we mated last night I can smell her from any length or distance away... the problem was how and which direction to gobin. Sometines the eind can carry her sent and spread it all across the forest. I continued to head in the direction of her sent. What could have possibly happend? Many thoughts came to mind as I came to settle on one. What if she's being controled again?

'What do you know?!?!' I growled at kaleb.

'She is being controlled..... if you try to find her you will be killed!! She and jenelle told me this....'

'Why the fuck didn't you tell me about this?!?!' I howl with rage. ' for all we know she could be hurt or in trouble... what if the "master" is planning on killing her.' I continued.

'She's fine I promise...' kaleb mumbled. Leaping up a tree I decide that if there was a chance I could be killed by this "master" character then I might as well keep hidden. Leaping from tree to tree wasn't easy.... I nearly slipped and fell a couple of times. Jumping from branch to branch my claws gripped the bark of the tree as I flexed my muscles for the next jump. I sprang in the air landing on the next tree limb with a thud. The wind was knocked out of my lungs as my chest came in contact with the thick, sturdy, branch. Gasping for air I scrambled to get back up. With all the racket I was making this mysterious "master" person would hear me from a mile away with the super alphas, michelles, senses. Trying to make as little noise as possible I continued to jump from limb to limb.... it was funny in a way. The way I looked. A wolf jumping in trees... now that's something you don't hwar about.

'Hahaha... come on lets focus.. I don't feel like hitting my face again' kaleb said sarcastically.

Michelles POV.

I was aware of my actions. After awakening from the darkness I realized I was still being 'hijacked' jenelle was silent. It was obvious she didn't know what was happening either. I worried about alex. Jenelle told me he was looking for me. What if he gets killed... what if I kill him. Blocking my mental being away from this 'hijacker' I stayed hidden away.

'I feel so... weak.... and helpless...' she sighed.

'We are not!' I growled feeling this new super alpha part of me kick in.

'Can he hear us in our link??' I ask worriedly.

'Probably..' jenelle said slowly fading away. As she left I felt my super alpha instincts kick in. We must fight back! Closing my eyes I took a deep breath and opened my eyes feeling them change color. Power surged through my mental being. I continued to block the hijacker as I felt the power slowly take over. I felt it expand around me. I then started forcing the hijacker out with my will.

'I... will... not be controlled!!!' I screamed to the hijacker as I stopped blocking him and finally released all the power and energy building up within me. I

'I command you to stop!!' He shouted.

'Face it.... I'm winning and there's nothing you can do about it. Give up. You can't stop me now.' I replied not giving up. I feel him slipping away.

'Stop!! Unless you want your boyfriend to die.' Looking around,seeing what he sees, I spot alex leaping towards us from a tree. Shit! Perfect just perfect. Immediately stopping I feel the hijacker taking over again. This time I felt helpless. No not weak... just helpless. I had enough power to kick this idiot out from my mind... it would just take to long. He could kill alex before then.

"Michelle....?" Alex called.

'Please don't hurt him!' I cried.'Ill do anything!' I continued.

'You'll help me kill people that deserve to die then?m' he asked curiously.

'Yes! Anything!!' I said quickly... I was lying obviously. Mr. hijacker person didn't detect it though because he was too busy thinking of all the possibilities.... I heard some of the thoughts running through his head. As he got distracted I prayed alex would stay silent so he wouldn't make the hijacker come bacl to reality. Seizing the opportunity I blocked him again and started to build up power again. Breathing slowly I feel the energy and power expand, pushing him out. He didn't realize it untill he had completely lost controll, finally fading away getting pushed out of my mind. Collapsing from the sudden energy loss I look up at alex.

'Michelle!! Are you okay baby?!" He said turning back into human form.

"I'm fine." I mumbled dizzily. I felt myself shift into a human. He ran up to me in only a pair of ripped up jeans. I on the other hand was completely naked. I glance up at alex. He wears a worried expression. I curled up in a ball as horrible pains overcame me.

"Michelle!" Alex said picking me up and holding me bridal style.

"I'm.... f-fine." I choked out. Ignoring me, he raced back to the house at wolf speed. Clenching my stomach I curled up once more as another pain came.

'What's happening to me??' I asked jenelle.
