The bite

chapter 6

Alex's POV.

I sniffed the air. It smelled fresh from last nights storm. The ground was still damp and my paws sunk in the soil with each step. The woods looked free of rogues but it was still my job as an alpha to patrol the boarders. I took my beta (james) and three other wolves, luke, max, and cassie.

'Anything unusual boys?' I ask through our pack-link.

'And girl!' Cassie replies.

'Sorry cass... anyways anything unusual?' I asked again repeating the question.

'No alpha.' James my beta replied.

'Okay lets head back now. I'm pretty sure we've covered all of the boarders.' I started running back at wolf speed. The sound of my paws hitting the earth matched the beat of my heart. Thump, thump, thump. The trees swished and swayed with the wind. Clouds covered the sun.

'We gonna visit michelle today?' My wolf kaleb asks curiously. Michelle. I didn't go to school yesterday because of the alpha I killed, Accidentally..... even being away from her for a day made me and my wolf howl in pain. We needed to be near her. Mate, mate, mate, mate.... the word kept repeating itself in my head.

'Yeah.'

'Good.... when are we going to mark/claim her as our own???' I sighed heavily.

'Why must you pester me with the same question over and over again?'

'If we wa-' I cut him off.

'I know, I know! We need to mark her.... she's ours and plus she needs to become one of us.... she's going to be the new luna...' I said smiling at the thought. My baby was going to soon be helping me lead our pack. Side by side. Kaleb stayed silent obviously happy with my thoughts and response. I could feel it radiating off of him. Flexing my claws I gripped the earth more firmly with each stride and quickend my pace. My new home came into veiw. Yes I bought a new home for myself..... and hopefully soon michelle. It was near the forest so I could still patrol without having to go to my fathers house everytime. I had already purchased this house a month ago.... never fully moving into it untill now. I had four pack members help me out. The house sat infront of some pines conecting to the forest. It was a three story home with a garage and a huge backyard with a basketball court. I stobed behind a pine and shifted back into a human. I quickly put on some jeans and went inside of my house. Taking a quick shower I pulled on some shorts and a white t-shirt. Running my hands through my blonde hair I tried to make it look presentable. I quickly hopped in my new gray jeep and drove to michelles house. I had to get a new one because of all the sticky red alpha blood.... it would attrack more and more alphas around the globe. Yeah, alpha blood is that strong. The empty road seemed gloomy with the cloudy weather. Everything was silent exept for a couple of birds here and there. Soon I couldn't take anymore silence, I turned on some music and blankded out for most of the drive thinking of michelle. Soon I arrived at michelles house. I parkdd my car in the road and went to the front door. I knocked on the door gently. A kid, probably about fourteen, answers the door.

" can I help you?" He asks flatly.

"Yeah um is michelle there?"

"Didn't you hear? My sister has been missing since last night. Have you seen her at all?"

"She's what?!?" I say almost shouting. I punch the brick wall next to the door frame making the kid jump. I hear a loud crack. Nope not my knuckles. I actually cracked the bricks leaving a dent.

"Who's. Party?!??" I manage to choke out. Fury sweeps over me.

"I don't know but they say nick brown had a party yesterday a block away from here." She went to a party with the biggest douche in school and didn't tell me, her mate!! Without looking at the kid I ran from the door and got in my car. Driving like a maniac I finally arrived at nicks house. I had to fight to keep kaleb from appearing. Banging on his front door I waited for a him to answer so I could kill him on the spot.

'Oh yes I will enjoy feeling his bones crack underneath our fist.' Kaleb howled withen me.

"What the hell?!" Nick says answering the door.

"Were the fuck is michelle." I shout. His eyes grow wide and I see/smell the fear he produces. He keeps a straight expression hiding any fear or shock he had on his face.

"I don't know what your talking about..." he said calmly.

"You know what I'm talking about!!" I yelled.

"Fine.... I saw her come here and leave with somw dude." He says slowly. He's telling half the truth. Yet he's. Twisting it while lying. Me and my wolf sensed it.

"Don't lie!" I yelled swinging my fist at his jaw. I heard a satisfying crack and saw blood. He collapses to the ground. I almost go to punch him again but seeing the opportunity to take him and help me find michelle I stop myself. When I'm positive no one is looking I throw him over my shoulder and throw him in the backseat.'we kill him afterwards....' my wolf murmured angrilly.

'Agreed.' I replied. After a half hour we got to my house. I carried nick inside. I should kill the bastard right now....

'I agree.... but remember, we need his help to find our mate.' Kaleb says. I throw cold water on nicks face. He jumps up.

"Were the hell am I??" He asks.

"Nick... were. Is. Michelle?" I ask calmly. His eyes grow wide.

"How did I get here?!?"

"Were is michelle?"

"Some dudes took her away." He finally says.

"Your not telling the whole truth... at this point it doesn't matter I guess. Take me to were you saw them take her. Now." Nick gulps and runs his hand through his brown hair.

"O-okay." He stutters. We walk outside and drive back to his place. He leads me to a shed. I let a growl escape my lips.

"Here?" I ask. He nods.

"Five huge guys." I sniff the air. I smell a faint sent of honey nectar.... michelle! I can smell her sent.... I just hope the rain hasn't washed the rest away..... its going to rain tonight so I don't have much time.....
