"You're a mistake." A black silhouette of a person says to me with a long smile. "Why continue to live when you can jump off the roof right now?" Their voices started to echo louder and louder to the point my ears were ringing.

I covered my ears in pain, my eyes closed shut, tears almost forming. I went on my knees, my body gives up. My heart rate increases and suddenly water started pouring down on me, causing a flood.

The water goes higher and higher, making me stand up. The water level was already by my chest, I raise my chin up as the water rises more and more.

I start drowning, I attempt to swim up but it felt as if I was at the very bottom of the ocean. My body loses its ability to move and freezes completely. My vision gets blurry and fuzzy.

I sat up immediately, out of breath. My body was covered in sweat. I fold my knees and wrapped my arms around them, breathing heavily. I looked at my phone and the time was displayed on the screen. 3:40am.

I stood up from my bed and walked towards my fridge, opening it. It's empty. I groaned and looked around the house as my finger taps on the countertop. After debating in my head, I decided to take a trip to the convenience store right beside my apartment building.

I went towards my closet and took a shirt out and wore it, also grabbing a coat. I walked out of my apartment and locked the door, heading down the steps.

The moment I opened the door, cold air passed by my warm body. I closed the door behind me and walked towards the convenience store.

I opened the door and there was a bell sound. "Hello." Someone greeted behind the counter as they stood up. I walked towards the milk area and started searching. There were various types of milk like: chocolate, banana, strawberry, avocado, etc.

I decided to grab the low fat milk and walked towards the counter. I placed the milk down on the counter and the cashier already scanned it.

"That'll be 1,300 Won." She said with a faint smile. I nodded and started searching my pockets for some cash. Luckily, I found some but I was a hundred short.

I heaved a breath, "can I come back? I'm lacking a hundred." I said and was about to grab the milk and put it back. "Wait a sec." She said and took out a Hundred Won. "Your cash, sir." She asked, holding her hand out.

I give her a questioning look, "it's really fine. My apartment is right beside." She shook her head, "You seem stressed already so I don't mind helping a hand out." The girl said with a genuine smile. I raised a brow, "what do you mean by stress?"

"Hmm.." she looks around for a while. "I don't know really. I've always been like this. I always sense weird vibes and judging from your behavior the moment you came in and your facial features, you seemed tense and stressed."

It was silent.

She slapped her head slightly before laughing nervously, "n-nevermind what I just said. Just hand me your cash and you're good to go." I slowly nodded and handed her my cash as she placed it inside the register.

"Have a good day." She said. I grabbed my milk and nodded, "you too." Then I left.

There was something weird about that girl. But.. I don't know.

I headed back inside my apartment and drank my milk, taking my coat off. I walked towards the window and admired the scenery as I drank from my milk.

For once, the view was beautiful.
