It was a regular day in the office. Faint noises of chattering and phones ringing. It was always soothing. I leaned back, taking a deep breath and started dozing off. I didn't really have much files to do today anyway.

The phone in my office rang, making me sit up and answer it. "Hello?"

"Shin, there's been something going on with the files." I heard Hyungkyun's voice through the phone. My eyebrows raised, "what do you mean exactly?" I heard him sigh, "while one of our co-workers were presenting the files, there were some.." a very faint snapping noise was heard. "It's really hard to explain through a call, just please fix the files within today or tomorrow morning. Our schedule is now packed than ever because of the technical difficulty today."

"Sure thing. Just send them to my Email." He heaved a relieved breath, "I can't believe I'm saying this but please finish the files. Boss is all mad and tensed up because of it and is blowing a fuse on me and might possibly do the same to you. Goodbye." He then hangs up.

After a few seconds, a folder filled with files were sent in my Email account and I ran through everything. There's.. weird coding.

I looked through the files and noticed that a lot of things were deleted and changed. "Did this happen to.. every file?" I closed the tab and checked the rest. I heaved a deep breath, "every file." I turned my vision to the bottom right.

260 files.

I ran my fingers through my hair and already felt stressed. I looked at about 5 files, and it already looks like a lot of work. I reached for my mug and I was all out of caffeine. I took a small sip from the mug, getting small drops of caffeine before exiting my office. I made my way towards the kitchen which was always filled with snacks and drinks. It was quite a fancy kitchen.

I made my way towards the water dispenser and placed my mug down. "Oh! Mr Shin." Someone called. I turned with raised brows, "hello." It was Kirt. "Making coffee?" She asked. I slowly nodded, "yeah, I ran out and I still have a couple of more files to do. By a couple, I mean a whole folder." I mumbled the last part under my breath.

She tilted her head slightly, confused with what I was mumbling angrily about. I sighed and shook my head, "its nothing." Kirt gives me a friendly smile and removes a cup of coffee from her tray, "I just arrived from buying coffee for a couple of people. Here." She hands me one. "No, no, it's fine."

Kirt scoffed, "take it! That was an extra one anyway." I slowly nodded and looked down at the cup filled with coffee. "You should probably get going. You do have a couple of more files to finish." She quotes with her hands and laughed. I smile lightly and started walking away.

I took a sip from my caffeine and saw a familiar figure pass by. I immediately stopped and froze, caffeine still in my mouth and unswallowed. I turn my head and the figure was gone. I took out a handkerchief from my pocket and wiped my lips lightly. "Strange."

I entered my office and placed my caffeine down beside my laptop. "Let's get going." I said to myself and started typing.

As I was typing, my keyboard kept deleting things without any of my fingers even pressing the backspace button. "What the fuck.." I mumbled. I started typing but then words kept on appearing without me even typing and I dragged my office chair with me further away from my now haunted laptop.

"Damn you really are hopeless."

I jumped and yelled as I heard a voice behind me. "DEMONS!" I yelled and shut my eyes. Laughter filled my office and I open my eyes slowly. "What are you? Ten?"

My eyes widened, "what are you doing here?" Jiyeon cleared her throat, "I'm impressed." Her arms folded and she started walking around my office, "you've impressed me, Shin Wonho."

I cleared my throat, "not to break your.." I gestured to her, "whatever you're doing, but can you please just tell me what you're doing here?" Jiyeon's cheeks suddenly turned bright red, turning around from me as she cleared her throat. "I just.. wanted things to be spicy."

She groaned, "fine then. You've convinced me." An eyebrow raised. She choked, "DON'T GIVE ME THAT LOOK!"

"I simply just came.. to visit." I scanned her, "you do look like a sore thumb in this office." Her eyes widened, "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" I chuckled, "did you really think coming to work in a sweater and denim jeans was a good idea?" Once again, she gets embarrassed.

"I worked at a convenience store, cut me some slack. And I didn't even.. tell my granddad yet." My eyebrows raised, "you haven't?" She sighed, "are you deaf? Yes I didn't tell him yet."

"Then.. what have you been doing this whole time?" I asked. "Just.. walked around and observed the work environment to check if the vibes were telling me things."

"So how was it?" Jiyeon looked around, "it wasn't.. that bad."

"I'm glad were having some heart to heart conversation and all, but were you the one hacking into my computer?" A sudden smirk appeared on her lips and she did a confident pose, "did I?" She quickly slouched, "yeah, no. I hired someone. By someone, I meant a friend!" Jiyeon does this finger gun thing and did this movement where it seemed like she was shooting me.

"Did you.. hack into my files then?" She laughed once again, "oh yes I did." The atmosphere thickens, "that.. that work was dued last week. And now I need to finish it within today or tomorrow morning."

Her expression dropped, "w-what?" My body goes stiff, "yes. I passed that work last week and was supposed to be presented today at a business meeting. But the files corrupted."

"Don't worry about it. I saved it all in my USB." She took out a USB from her pocket and smiled confidently. She goes up towards my laptop and shoves it in the USB port.

USB failed to connect.

I felt her panic activate. "It wasn't like this when I checked this morning." Her voice started shaking and her eyes were wide.

"Those files.. were supposed to be presented at a business meeting today and.." I stood up and started taking deep breaths. "I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY!" Jiyeon yelled while bowing repeatedly.

This is gonna be an adventure.
