I got up swiftly and started for the door.
“You know you will have to tell me eventually.” I looked Fraser in the eye.
“Eventually, is not now.”
“No…b-,”
“I really don’t want to do this now,” I interrupted him, breaking the eye contact. “I’ll see you later or something.” I almost ran out of the room. He should mind his own damn business! My personal matters have nothing to do with him. My phone vibrated in my pocket. It was Bex.
Meet me on the field. J
I grinned and shook my head. She always was very blunt. I pulled my bag further up my arm and headed towards the field.
I could hear her before I could see her.
“I’m not telling you!”
“Why not?!”
“It’s none of your business!” I peered round the tree and saw Bex and Olly arguing.
“What’s going on?” I asked, speaking for the first time. They both whipped round to look at me.
“Hey!” Bex called too enthusiastically. I raised an eyebrow.
“How you doing,” Olly muttered, looking down.
“I go back to my previous question, what’s going on?” Bex hesitated and looked at Olly quickly.
“Oh..um nothing.”
“It sounded like you guys were arguing about something.”
“No!” she squeaked and Olly looked like he was going to burst out laughing.
“I know you’re lying. Bex. You are a terrible liar.” She shrugged. I sighed. “The bells going soon and I kinda want to have lunch so I’ll see you,” gesturing towards the main buildings of school, walking backwards and tripped.
“Whoa there,” a male voice said behind me and steadying me. I rolled my eyes and stood up straight.
“Thank you, Fraser,” I said walking off without stopping.
“Hey!” Bex called, running to catch up to me. “What’s the rush?”
“I just…don’t want to be around Fraser right now.”
“What happened?”
“He’s just…”
“Don’t worry about it,” she said linking her arms with mine.
This is the part of me, that you’re never gonna ever take away from me.
My alarm clock blared. I groaned and rolled over onto my side to turn it off. As much as I love Katy Perry, I need sleep.
“Wake up, Shiv!” my dad called.
“Nooo!” I groaned pulling my duvet over my eyes. I heard him laughing maniacally as the covers got ripped off me.
“Dad!” I screeched, trying to grab it back.
“Andrew! Stop acting like a little kid and give her back the duvet!” my mum called. I sat up and stuck my tongue out at him and skipped out of my room.
“Thanks mum!” I giggled.
I had history first lesson and I was not looking forward to it. My dad dropped me off outside the gate.
“See you later,” I said hopping out of the passenger seat and I spotted Bex almost straight away.
“Hey,” she grinned.
“Hi,” I gave her a small smile. We stopped outside our lockers on our way to history.
“You alright now?”
“Yeah, I was never really that upset though.”
“Just frustrated?” she offered.
“Yeah, frustrated.” I nodded.
The warning bell rang and she shot me a supportive smile.
“Hey!” Olly called from his desk as we walked into our lesson. Fraser nodded at me as I sat down.
“Awkwaaard,” Olly sang. I kicked his chair. “OW!”
“Problem?” Ms Wilkes asked, amusedly.
“No,” he grumbled and I tried not to laugh.
“You guys will be working on your project independently, but I’ll be here if you need any help.”
Fraser moved his desk towards mine and pulled random books out of his bag. He paused for a second then said, “I’m sorry.”
“What for?” I said softly. He looked up from his bag.
“You know what.” I breathed out heavily.
“Just forget about it.”
“I can’t!” he said almost angrily. “I know it hurt you. And I am sorry for that.”
“I know,” I said, speaking softly again. “And I really do mean forget about it.” I offered him a small smile.
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.” I grabbed one of the books. “Now come on! We have a project to do!” He smiled at me, his eyes sparkling and grabbed a book.
