We walked into history together, holding hands and that set everyone off whispering. Fraser rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his hair before tugging me towards my seat.
Olly let out a low wolf whistle.
“You didn’t waste much time,” he mumbled. Fraser shot him a cold look.
“Why is this such a big deal?” I whispered
“It shouldn’t be,” he deadpanned. I sat up straight in my seat again and tried to ignore the stares from other people.
History went pretty quickly and I walked out with my head down.
“Shiv! Siobhan!” Fraser was calling me. I stopped walking to let him catch up to me. “Why’d you leave so fast?”
“Because I didn’t want to have everyone staring at me and whispering!”
“Don’t pay attention to them.”
“It’s pretty difficult to do that.”
“Just don’t worry about it. Come on, we’re going to be late.”
I sighed and followed him to class. We had Mr. Peterson and I had a feeling that it would be really awkward because what happened this morning. I quickly took my seat beside Bex and she ripped a piece of paper out of her notebook. She wrote,
Why didn’t you tell me about Fraser?! And then flicked it towards me.
It happened this morning! And I didn’t see you before school, so I couldn’t tell you.
I passed it back to her.
No excuse! :P you should have told me!
Sorry…
She read the note and grinned at me. We were only doing theory work so it was just Mr Peterson talking and us taking notes, so no one noticed the fact we were writing notes to each other. I tuned out and began doodling on my page.
The bell rang and everyone hurried out of the door to break. Fraser when to the back of the room to the guitars.
“I have to get some stuff out of my locker,” I told him. He nodded.
“See you later.” And kissed me on the cheek. I turned away and left the room before he could see my flushed cheeks. “Oh and I saw you blush!” he sang as the door swung shut. I smiled to myself as I headed towards my locker.
I opened my locker and heard someone behind the door.
“Hello again.”
“Hi Faith.”
“You’re dating my brother?”
“Um yeah,” I said pulling out some books and closing my locker. She smiled sympathetically at me.
“Be careful.”
“Why?” I asked confused. She opened her mouth to speak again but she was cut off by Fraser who was stood behind her.
“Hey Faith.”
“Fraser. I’ll see you later Siobhan.” She walked off.
“What was that about?” He shrugged. Okay then, I thought and pushed it to the back of my mind.
