Last chapter recap

I don’t know how long we were stood there just swaying together but someone walked in and Fraser stiffened. I pulled away slightly and looked up at him.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Annabelle.”

Fraser’s P.O.V

I should have known that Faith would have invited Annabelle. I just didn’t expect it.

“She’s not going to do anything,” Shiv’s calm voice surprised me.

“You don’t know that. You don’t know her like I do.” Annabelle’s presence just put me on edge. I moved further away from Shiv as I removed my arms from her waist.

There was a flicker of hurt in her eyes.

“Whatever,” she muttered as she walked away.

“Shiv, wait!” She probably heard me but ignored it and kept walking.

“Hey there, Fraser.”

“Annabelle.”

“Don’t say it like that. I know you miss me,” she whispered in my ear, her breath tickling my neck.

“I-I have a girlfriend now,” I stuttered. She stepped back and raised an eyebrow.

“You don’t sound so sure about that. Don’t tell me I make you nervous.”

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“Can’t I come and dance with the guy I always loved.”

“Yeah right.”

“It’s true. And you should know, I always get what I want.” She stepped forward again and wrapped her arms round my neck tightly. I tried to move away from her as she turned us round so my back was to where Shiv was stood.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” she whispered. “I wouldn’t want you and…Siobhan to break up.”

“Why are you doing this?” I asked through gritted teeth as she forced me to sway with her to the song that was playing.

“You know why.” I looked down at her and it looked like she was mouthing something to someone stood behind her. I frowned at that and willed the song to be over.

“You’ve had your dance. Please just…let me go.” She smiled at me mischievously and my heart skipped a beat for two reasons. The first being, I missed that smile and I missed her. The second thought that came into my mind was what is she planning.

She stood up on tip toes and kissed my nose. If anyone behind us saw that they would think it was a proper kiss.

“Bye, bye Fraser,” she grinned and walked away, waving.

I finally turned round and I saw Shiv not far behind me with tears in her eyes.

“I-it’s not what it looks like,” I stuttered.

“You lied to me,” was all she said.

“I never lied to you. I would n-,” She cut me off by holding up a hand.

“Don’t say you would never lie to me. Y-you kissed her! You told me you love me and you KISSED her,” she yelled.

“I didn’t kiss her!”

“I don’t care! I don’t want to hear it! You never loved me, and now I know that you’re definitely not over her.” I stepped towards her, but she mirrored me and stepped back.

“I am over her!” I protested angrily.

“No. I can see that whatever ‘feelings’ you had for me are gone. And I assure you the feelings I had for you…are gone.”

“Don’t do this,” I croaked.

“We’re done,” she almost whispered, with tears streaming down her face.

Bex was immediately by her side as she sobbed, it broke my heart to see her crying like that.

I tried to get closer to her but Olly blocked me.

“Normally I would say I told you so, but that would be wrong.”

“Move.”

“No. Just leave her. I’m taking both of them home. Stay here.”

“You ca-,”

“I can and I am. Leave her be. Give her some time.”
