Getting off the plane was hard especially when I was so jet lagged. Luckily, I'll get to see my family again. Grabbing onto my suitcase I walked outside waiting for my brother to come.
"Mandy, is that you?" I quickly turned around to see Adam wailing his arms rapidly at me.
"Little sister, I missed you so much." He said while giving me one of his bone crushing hugs. I smacked him on the chest playfully.
Wow. I never knew someone would missed me this much. But then again he is my only brother.
I know someone else who missed you.
"Hey, I'm only three minutes younger than you, which is your fault for being a couple pounds heavier that they had to push you out." I said.
"Hey, don't say that aloud there are hottie's here." He winked as a brunette passed by, her cheeks tinting a slight red.
"Wow. You changed a lot over the two years you've been gone. Maybe I was wrong about staying at home instead of going to military school but, I love food too much. Although you look great, i still prefer to have dear old Mandy." He said grabbing on to his 'big' belly.
Yes, I know what your thinking, 'why did you go to military camp?'
Well, I'll tell you why. It happened two years ago when I was a freshman.
*Flashback*
It was the last day of school and I was going to be a sophomore next year.
Yay! Cue the happy music.
Not really something to be proud of.
My brother was sick today so I had to go on the bus alone, usually he takes me to school because I don't have my driver's license. It's just not my thing. I'm more of the type to hitch a ride. Plus my parents convinced me to ride with my brother for some sibling time.
How does your brother have a license if you're only 15 years old. Aren't you twins, making him the same age?
Shut up, you wrote this. Just pretend where they live they get to have a driver's license and not a permit at the age of 15.
Okay.
Frankly, I believe they don't trust me with riding alone. I'm fine with that....for now.
I was in my own world thinking about things. Very important things like; sleeping in a comfy bed right when school ends. The bus jerked to a stop making me lose my train of thought.
Sometimes I believe the bus driver doesn't even bother looking up at his phone when he is driving, his eyes are meant to be on the road.
It's fine, man. It is not like you are risking our lives just to text your mom that you are fine. Imbecile. I'm sorry that was rude. I sent him an apologizing glance, even though I never said it aloud.
He glared at his phone while mumbling words that sounded like, "I want to strangle my mother."
My eyes widened with surprise but, I kept my mouth shut. He's just kidding. Totally not serious.
"Alright kids it's the last day of school so when I pick you up, don't bother me or else I'll turn the bus around and take you back to school. Understand." The bus driver yelled to all of us, glaring at the wide mirror in front of him.
He looked back at his phone. His hands shaking as he clutched it. I'm guessing his mom texted him again.
"Yes." Everyone screamed at the top of their lungs, excitedly. I decided to whisper instead. Not wanting anyone to hear me. Even if they were already loud.
