Jo

"I thought you said you were finished." I questioned as I sat on her bed and watched her attempt to write from her desk in the corner.

Letoya shook her head. "I still have one more to go for my English class. I'm just stuck on it though."

"What's the topic?"

"The prompts about something I fantasize about. It's like this little diary that we do, Professor Heems just skims through it and that is our grade but I cannot for the life of me think of anything to write about. Maybe it's because I..."

As she rambled I couldn't help but stare at her beauty. She was so passionate about what she was talking about and most times she didn't even realize that she was rambling on and on. Maybe because I didn't complain when she did so.

"Letoya." I cut her ramble off. "Get on the bed."

She stopped talking and looked at me. "Huh?"

"Get. On. The. Bed." I slowed my sentence down for her.

For once, she moved without question or maybe because her curiosity had gotten the best of her. Letoya came over to me cautiously and I stood up and pulled her the rest of the way, colliding our bodies together.

I connected our lips and she immediately kissed back. Switching our positions, I pushed her back on the bed. She looked up at me and I knew she was trying to read into my expression.

Coming up empty, she asked. "Jo, what are you doing?"

Climbing on her lap, I placed a kiss on her neck as I mumbled. "Giving you inspiration, what else?"

"Inspir— mm." Me biting down on her neck caused her to moan out. This is where I wanted her, she was in my hands now.

"I see new blood is working out great." Gil commented as he sat in the office chair Letoya would usually be in the next morning. "Speaking of her actually. Where is she?"

"It's midterms next week for her. So I gave her the week to study."

Gil looked at me. "So are you giving this chick a contract or not? Usually you let your meanness get into their heads, but she seems headstrong."

"She has her moments." I replied. "She's different from the others, it's like one moment she's headstrong and the next moment she's sensitive and my words will affect her harshly. I'm just taking a different approach."

"So she is still getting a contract right? Cause you taking a different approach doesn't mean that she doesn't need to be under some type of thing so she stays quiet. Elections are coming up, Damita."

"I know. I know. You don't have to remind me Gil, I understand that. Plus, we haven't even done anything for me to give her a contract yet."

Gils face furrowed. "You're telling me that you haven't done anything to lil mama? Like at all since she been working here? You sitting in my face lying like this?"

"I haven't done anything to my usual extent..." I commented lowly as I tugged at my ear.

"Liar! What have you done?" My best friend asked me in a whisper harshly.

"I just ate her out. Seriously. That's all. Which is far better than what I usually would have done by now."

Gil nodded. "True, but why are you taking things so gradual with her? Your others would have been had a contract by now."

"Somethings different about her. Maybe it's her attitude or the fact that I'll tell her once and she'll correct herself. I rarely have to repeat myself. I don't know, she's getting the contract because I can't take this anymore."

"Take what?"

"I am sexual frustrated..." I mumbled as I put my hands over my face. "It's killing me softly."

"Why not let Knock Off William get in them guts?"

Taking my hands from my face, I shot Gil a look. "Don't ever suggest that again. That bamboo of a man isn't getting anywhere near me. November needs to hurry along."

"Well we're 4 months away." Gil exclaimed. "And I will say this again, you need to make sure she keeps quiet."

"Letoya wouldn't talk." I explained.

"You don't know this chick like that, so you need to figure something out. Matter fact, since you don't have the balls to hand her the contract face to face, put your big girl panties on and email it to her."

"That's actually not a bad idea." I mumbled as I opened my Gmail and put her email address in the bar asking for the recipient. My best friend walked around my desk and came beside me as I asked. "What should the subject be?"

"Say something dominant. Like 'I'll be expecting my answer when you get back.' Or something like that."

Typing in what he stated, I attached the file where it was needed. A surge of confidence came as I added under the file that if she had questions on what everything was that she needed to look them up.

My hand refused to click send once I finished. "Maybe I should do it face to face."

"We don't have time for you to grow back the balls you just suddenly lost whenever she began working for you." He clicked send for me and I hit him in his chest.

"Why would you do that?!"

"Oh shut up you big baby, it never hurts to try." He mumbled as he looked at his watch. "Now I have to run to rehearsals. I'll talk later, tell me what she says. Seriously. Love ya bih!"

"Love you too." I mumbled lowly as I put my head on my desk.

Truly, I didn't know how Letoya would react to this. Never had I been this nervous before. Usually a no wouldn't hurt my pride or feelings—

What am I saying?

I'm Jo Jackson. A no from her wouldn't hurt my feelings either. Plenty of people would die for this position.

My computer chimed and I jumped to see if it was Letoya but it wasn't. Opening the email, it was only a message on the stocks I owned. It was too soon to expect a reply anyways.

A knock at my door led me to call out. "Come in!"

Jessica, one of my planners, popped in the door and smiled. "Hey, the men are here to set everything up, whenever you are ready."

"Great. Send them in."

She nodded before disappearing again as I stood up. The men entered soon after carrying furniture.

They looked at me as one asked. "Where do you want it Ms. Jackson?"

I pointed to the side of my office. "Right there against the wall is fine."

He nodded and the men began setting everything up where I had pointed. Letoya needed a workspace for when she did her college work, and I had brought the furniture so she'd be able to get more things done.

Plus, I was sick of her work and my work bombarding my already crowded desk top. This would benefit the both of us in the long run.
