Anyways, 3 years later
Letoya
"Bae!" I yelled as I walked into the house and sat some bags down.
"Office!" She yelled back.
Walking through our home, I found her in the office surrounded by papers. I frowned as I called her government out. "Janet..."
"No, don't say it. I know I said I'd give it a break, but I have to—."
"You have to take a break for once. Stop being Senator Jackson for a second. Come on, you promised me." I whined slightly and she looked up at me before throwing her hands up and walking out of the office. I smirked as I followed behind her. "Thank you."
"Better be lucky you're my wife." She muttered back.
Jo and I had married 2 years ago. She was one year into her term when she realized she couldn't live without me and well it'd be a lie if I said I didn't feel the same way about her.
So we decided to do a destination wedding and got married in The Maldives. It was the clearest water I had ever experienced and the fact that I had gotten married there only made it better.
"Even if I was your girlfriend you'd still stop working." I pulled her back from wherever she was going. "Give me kisses."
She chuckled before closing the space that was between us. My arms wrapped around my wife's neck as her arms linked around my waist. Before it got too deep, I pulled away as I went to get her gift much to my wife's dismay. "Come back."
"In a second." I replied as I grabbed the bags from by the door. "I got you something."
When I turned back around she had moved to the foyer and was watching me. "Why? I don't need anything."
"Woman, here." I handed her the bag.
She looked at me before looking down and grabbing the things out of it. "Our passports?"
"Mhm. We are going to need those."
"For what?"
"I was thinking, our anniversaries coming up and we still haven't went places on the list." I pointed over to the list of places we had wrote on our chalk board. "But, keep digging."
She pulled the envelopes out and shot me a look as she opened one of them. "Hawaii?"
I smiled. "Hawaii. So take off for these two weeks coming up because I need you to be focused on having a good time. Not on politic duty."
"Okay."
"Promise me."
"I promise you baby." She met eye contact with me and I knew she was serious.
"Okay. Thank you and—." Our front door opened before it slammed shut harshly. Our eyes met with our sons. "Well, you seem upset."
