The After Affects of Tsunamis and Earthquakes

Japan was currently in the hospital being treated for his horrible sickness. The country (the landmass) had just been hit with a massive earthquake which caused a tsunami. Thankfully, Japan wasn't in the land where the disasters hit, but the effects were still there. So here Japan was, in a hospital bed, with no one to talk to. That wasn't the case for long, because America came busting through the door.

"Japan! I heard what happened and came over as soon as I could. How are you feeling? Any better then when the natural disasters happened?" America showered Japan in questions about his well being. It made Japan a little annoyed, but happy to know that the normally childish and slightly ignorant American cared so much.

"America, I'm fine. Just a little sick, that's all."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

America looked unconvinced. "If you were just a little sick, you wouldn't be in the hospital. Are you just saying you're fine to make me go away?"

Japan suddenly got worried, he didn't want America to leave. "No! I just said that so you wouldn't worry to much?" He paused, then continued, "I was actually really lonely, you're the first person to visit me."

America then regained his classic grin and hugged Japan. "I'm glad you don't want me to leave, you mean a whole lot to me Japan." Surprisingly, Japan allowed America to hug him, but he still blushed at his words.

When it was time for America to leave, he said goodbye and gave Japan a quick peck on the cheek. "Hope you get better soon, I'll visit you everyday." Japan didn't know what to say to him. He just blushed red as America left the room.

"WHAT WAS THAT!?" Japan yelled after a few minutes of being shocked and spacing out.

The door then swung open again. Italy and Germany then rushed in. "Japan, are you ok?! We heard you yelling outside the room!" Italy asked worriedly.

"Italy, calm down, I'm ok. Hey get off me!" Italy then started to hug Japan. Unlike America, Japan didn't appreciate when Italy hugged him. Thankfully, Germany pryed Italy off of Japan.

"So why did you yell Japan? Did something random shock you a bit?" Germany interrogated.

"Well, I think the most shocking thing happened to me in my life just happened a few minutes ago." Japan felt like he could talk to Germany and Italy about what just happened. "America was the first person to come and visit me, and when he left, he kissed me on the cheek." Japan couldn't help but blush a bit when he though back to the moment.

Before Italy or Germany could respond, all three men could hear a loud, "ARU!" Outside the door. It was quickly followed by laughing and fangirling. Japan's family of China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam were just about to come in and see him, when they heard what Japan said. Vietnam was holding China back trying to keep herself composed, only letting out a few chuckles. Korea and Hong Kong were laughing, and Taiwan was the one fangirling. "I'm going to kill that burger eating b*stard, ARU! I will never let him see the light of day again when I'm done with him!" China was thrashing and trying to get out of Vietnam's grip.

"China calm down, besides, he already left!" Japan said. He knew that China would literally try to hurt America, or at least get Russia to do it if China didn't calm down. "No way! I know that America will try to hurt and exploit you, I just know it, aru!"

"That is no good reason to act in the childish way you are acting! You are 4000 years old, older than me, and are acting more like a child than I am!" Japan scolded, while still keeping his voice down like usual.

"Oooooohhhhh!" Korea and Hong Kong were having a field day with this. Especially when Japan called China old.

"So is it true?" Italy asked. "Did America really kiss you on the cheek?!" Taiwan bounced over to Japan's bed side with wide shining eyes. "Yes he did." Japan admitted.

Italy and Taiwan shouted, "YES!" Then high fived each other. This earned some confusion from Japan, he then turned to Germany. "Do you know why they are celebrating?" Germany just shrugged, guess he didn't know either. Italy was now on the phone talking to someone, and immediately shared the news. Japan was just about to yell at him until the person on the other end screamed, "YES!" The caller id on the phone said Italy was talking to Hungary. "Italy, what have you done! She'll tell everyone what happened, don't let her do that!" The Italian then told Hungary that she couldn't tell anyone yet. He then turned to Japan, "She is asking if she can at least write fanfiction." Japan couldn't help but sigh and say that she could as long as she didn't share it. After a few more minutes, everyone calmed down. However, China still looked angry.

Germany and Italy left and Japan was alone with his family. "China nii-san, why are you so upset about this?"

China breathed in and out and started to speak. "I just don't think America is a good person to be in a relationship with. He is childish, ignorant, and doesn't pay back the money he owes, which causes him to be in debt!" Of course China would bring up the fact that America owes him money, Japan also couldn't argue that China's argument did have some truth behind it. There seemed to be something else that China wanted to say, but didn't.

"That may be true to you China, but America doesn't act that way directly towards me. Unlike others, he cares about me and tries to not be too childish or ignorant towards me. America considers my opinion and even when I've already agreed to his. He may not be a good country to you, but he is to me. So I don't care what you think, we may be family, but this is my decision and mine alone." China was a little shocked at Japan's words, and was a little uncertain. Still, China couldn't protect his brother forever, besides, Japan was over half his brother's age. (China: 4000; Japan: Around 2600)

"Are you sure you want to be in a relationship with America, Japan?" China asked.

"If it comes to that, then yes."

"Fine, I won't stand in your way. Still, if he hurts you, I won't hesitate to hurt him back!"

"Thanks nii-san, but I'm sure I will be fine." With that, Japan's family wished him well and left him to his thoughts.
