A Family's Approval or Disapproval?

America and Japan had been dating for a few weeks now, but have neglected to tell their friends and family. While America's friends and family would've been fine with him going out with him, Japan's friends and family were a whole different story. The Japanese nation wasn't sure how his brother China would react, even if he did say he'd allow it, there was still a level of distrust between China and America. Then there was Germany, when Japan was in the hospital a few months ago his friend never voiced his opinion on America kissing Japan on the cheek. Just because World War 2 was long over, doesn't mean there isn't so tension between America and Germany. At least Japan knew that the rest of his family and friends wouldn't mind. Taiwan fangirled, Italy high fived her, and called Hungary who was writing "Ameripan" fan fiction as she called it. Also, there was Greece who'd been trying to get closer to Japan recently (Uh oh). Eventually, America convinced Japan to let him tell everyone about their relationship.

The 2 decided to tell Canada, England, France, Prussia, and Denmark first because it would be easier. They all gathered at England's house because why not?

"Family, Friends, England." That statement earned America a glare from the Brit, but he didn't care. "I've gathered you all to tell you something very important that has happened in my life." He then wrapped his arms around Japan and yelled, "JAPAN IS MY BOYFRIEND!"

Prussia jumped up and turned to Denmark, "I knew it! Denmark, you owe me 20 (insert German money here)." The Dane pulled out is wallet and handed him the money. "Also nice job getting the most reserved country to go out with you."

"Yeah, that awesome!" Denmark added.

"Oh maple, that's great!" Canada then gave his brother a hug, which America accepted. The Canadian also gave Japan a thumbs up as approval.

France was giving his trademark laugh and said, "I'm so happy for both of you, how long have you two been together?" Britain agreed saying, "Yes, I'd like to know as well. Also, congratulations."

"We've been together for a couple weeks now." Japan replied since America and Canada were still hugging.

After that, it was time for them to tell Japan's family. This time Japan was going to be alone because he felt it would go easier that way, and tell his friends later. So there he sat in front of China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Vietnam, about to tell them about his relationship status. After taking a deep breath, he told them straightforward, "I'm in a romantic relationship with America." It took his whole family a few seconds to process what he'd just said, then yelled, "WHAT?!" With either shock, disbelief, or anger.

Korea ran over and started poking Japan, "I knew it, I knew it! You love America!" This made Japan punch Korea in the gut. Hong Kong with a shocked face just said, "Nice, you needed to get out of your comfort zone at some point." Taiwan was spinning Vietnam around with a smile on her face because Taiwan secretly shipped America and Japan together, while Vietnam was just happy for them. Macau was the least freaked out and just gave his congratulations. Then there was China, the only one who had a angry tone in his voice. Japan and China stared at each other for a bit until Japan spoke up.

"So nii-san, do you have anything to say to me?" The younger nation looked at China with a questioning look on his face. China had an annoyed pout on his face, then spoke, "I very much disapprove of this relationship aru...," He started.

There was a long pause while everyone stopped to listen. China then resumed, "However, I cannot protect you forever. So if you really want to be with that sorry excuse for a nation, so be it." Japan didn't push as this was probably the only approval he was going to get. "Thank you China." With that, the Japanese nation left. He was happy that he got most of their approval, and hoped China would eventually come around.

Finally, it was time for him to tell his friends. Japan invited Germany, Italy, Hungary, Greece, and Turkey to a park near his house. When everyone got there, Greece and Turkey were a little miffed that the other was there. Thankfully Hungary brought her frying pan and shut them up before a fight broke out.

"Japan, can you tell us why we are here already so we can go out and eat Japanese pasta?" Italy asked. "Italy-san, its called ramen. Maybe later." Japan cleared his throat and found it harder to tell his friends about his relationship rather than his family. "I know this may be a bit of a shock but, I'm currently in a romantic relationship with America."

Hungary and Greece got off the ground. The Hungarian started to dance happily, while Greece went behind a tree. Everyone could have sworn they heard a, "Darn it!" in Greek before Greece came out with a straight face. Turkey also got up to give Japan a smack on the back while giving him congratulations. Italy started to hug Japan and said, "I'm soooooooooooooo happy for you Japan! You deserve someone to love right!?" Meanwhile, Japan was trying to pry the now crying Italian off of him. Once he succeeded, Germany gave Japan a smile and nodded his approval. That was enough to know at least most of his friend and family supported him.

After taking Italy out for some ramen, Japan returned home to find America there. "So how did everything go?" He asked. Japan sat down and leaned against the American, "Surprisingly well." America then gave Japan a peck on the lips, "That's good, I don't need China yelling at me to break up with you every time there is a world meeting." Japan just chuckled, "Yeah, but he and Greece might glare at you for while now." America lifted his arm and put it around Japan to pull him closer.

"As long as I'm with you, I can take it."

Hello there, I'm going to be making another story on Wattpad. Although it will have some Ameripan it won't focus on it but still. The story is about America's 50 states and this will be in a different universe from these one shots so look out for that. The first chapter of that will probably be out a few minutes to half an hour, after the release of this one shot chapter. Hopefully you enjoy that.
