Astrid POV
"You know what this means right?" I ask him, as we lay next to each other, our head squished onto the one hospital pillow. Nighttime had fallen and I should be getting home, but I didn't want to leave Hayden's side.
"Yep," he replied
"What does it mean?" Curious to what he would say.
"We're gonna be a couple until I die of this stupid disease or we break up because the disease would be too much on you or we could just end it here after an innocent kiss so that I don't hurt you," He said in a rush, trying not to show the effect it had on him.
"Hayden.."
"What? It's true, you don't want a dying boyfriend do you?" He accused sharply.
"I do if he's you," that shut him up.
We went back to our state of silence before a nurse came in insisting that I go home for the night. I nodded and turned to Hayden. "When are you telling the rest of the gang?" I asked
He winced, "Can you?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "Fine, bring 'em all here tomorrow,"
I nodded and kissed him goodbye.

"Why are we here? I thought we were going to see Hayden?" Simon asked stupidly.
The rest of the gang were silent, they had worked out something was wrong.
We walked into his room to find him struggling chords on his guitar.
"Hey" we all say, at different tones and times as everyone looked around the room at everything, trying to figure out what was wrong.
"Hey," he replied, obviously tired.
We all stood in silence for a couple of moments before I went and sat next to Hayden. "Have a seat," I gestured to various places were the gang could sit.
"Astrid this is my room you can't -"
"I will very well do what I want thank-you-very-much," I told him. He grinned at me, I blushed. Heather whispered something to Ry, they both giggled and glanced at us.
"So...." Fred said awkwardly
"So.... You want to know what's wrong?" Hayden finished the sentence. The gang nodded.
Hayden explained everything, the disease and the heart transplant he needed within 6 months at least.
The gang was silent- a first for them. Fred looked about ready to cry, Heather looked worried, the twins looked shocked and Simon was staring at the ground.
"What can we do to help?" Heather asked, trying to lift the mood.
"Just... be there," Hayden muttered.
"I brought you're favourite movie!" I told him. Opening the DVD case and putting it in the TV across from Hayden's bed.
The animated movie started playing, as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock iii's voice filled the silence.

**********
Hi! What you think about Hayden's favourite movie? Also we're gonna pretend they're really dumb and don't notice the similarities between modern them and dragon them. But I will refer to the movie again.
Disclaimer- I'm a big fan of writing these in the middle of the night when I don't have access to internet, so I haven't even researched about any of the disease- just go with it okay? I want to be an author when I grow up - not a doctor.
Til next chapter!
