New beginnings

Fresh start.2

(Alex's view)

Alex was excited for school to start back, she really enjoyed it, she always had. She got good grades and had great friends, who she loved and who loved her. She was really sad that this was her last year but she looked forward to what the future would bring for her. Alex was soon pulled out of thought when suddenly Kara, her younger sister came running through her bedroom door.

"Alex, hide me" she yelled running into the room and hiding behind Alex who was sitting on her bed. Kara was only a few years younger but she had a secret that no one knew about... a secret that could be dangerous, she was special, different from everyone else, some would call her an alien, she born on another planet, called krypton, nobody knew about her secret and that was how it was going to stay. She wasn't allowed to use her powers but that never stopped her, she tried to use her powers every second she got, but the thing is every time she used them and her parents found out Alex is the one who gets in trouble, she gets told that its her fault for not looking after her sister properly and that she should've kept an eye on her.

"What have you done this time Kara?" Alex asked while rolling her eyes.

"I-uh may have used my powers, and uh- Jeremiah may have found out..." Jeremiah was their  father and Eliza was their mother but Kara never called them 'mom' nor 'dad'. Kara had a family....before her planet exploded that was, and it wasn't like Kara didn't love Jeremiah and Eliza and it wasn't that she wasn't great full for everything they did for her but it still didn't feel right calling them 'mom' and 'dad'.

"YOU WHAT?!?" Alex screamed "Kara! You know what happens when you use your powers".

"I do and I'm sor-" Kara got cut off when their mother walked in the room holding a laundry basket under her arm.

"Kara! What did we tell you about using your powers"

"Sorry Eliza"

"And Alex, you should have known better than to let your sister out, I'm really disappointed in you" she says while walking out.

"Of course you are" Alex whispered under her breath. Kara apologised before walking out and Letting Alex get ready for school. Alex hated when she got told her parents where disappointed in her, and she knew they loved her but it wasn't her fault Kara used her power and she hates getting blamed for it. Alex was in a Bad mood for the rest of the morning.

When Alex arrived at school she headed straight to her class as she was almost late, she had her headphones in her ears blocking out all sound around her, she had her favourite song 'small world' by Idena Menzel blasting in her ears, she didn't want to associate with anyone right now. She was almost at her locker when she felt a hard nudge.

"Ouch, watch where you're going" Alex yelled. She was not in the mood for this.

"Omg! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean I-" Alex cut the girl off from her her words,  she didn't have time for this.

"Just watch where you're going next time" Alex said before walking away with the roll of her eyes.

When Alex got into her classroom she was informed by her teacher that she was to give a new student a tour of the school, she wasn't in the mood to tour new students but she felt bad if she was to say no, So she did as she was told and headed straight to the principals office when the bell went.

When Alex walked in to the office she immediately notice the girl she bumped into, her first instinct was to give her a death glare so that's what she did, she wasn't quite sure why though, the new girl didn't deserve it, after all it was just an accident. Alex thought she should make it up to her so she just started simple. She smiled and put her hand out for her to shake it.  Lucky for Alex she accepted the offer.
