New beginnings

A night at home

When all four girls arrived back at Alex and Kara's house, Maggies was bombarded with hugs and kisses by their parents, they were so glad she was back safe. Maggie really enjoyed all of the love and attention she was getting, she never had anyone who actually cared for her like that, she had never had anyone love her except Alex, but even that was different, Alex and Kara's parents made her feel like she actually had a family. She never wanted this moment to end. The moment where Eliza and Jeremiah were hugging Maggie and Alex seeing how happy Maggie was, Kara was cuddling up to Lena who was waiting at the house waiting for Maggie to come back and Sophie was standing to the side watching the perfect little family.

"I am so glad you are okay" Eliza smiled. Maggie just gave a grateful nod.

The rest of the night was amazing, they all had a nice Family dinner, that included of roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast vegetables and a beautiful gravy. Maggie shoved the food down like she hadn't eaten in weeks, which was in a way true, she only got very little food at the school and it tasted horrible so Maggie only ate enough to survive, and even when she was at her old home her parents were shit cooks so she didn't eat a lot there either.

After they all finished their meals they sat down and watched a few movies together, as a family. Eliza and Jeremiah sat next to each other on the couch with Sophie on the opposite side. They decided Sophie would stay with them because just like Maggie she couldn't bare to see her parents again. Lena and Kara sat on the floor in front of her parents cuddling, while Alex sat in front of the couch with Maggies head resting on her legs.

They ended up watching a romcom that Kara insisted, in reality Maggie and Alex hated romcoms, but, they were just so glad to be in each other's company, they didn't care. As the night got later and the film had finished Alex and Maggie went up stairs to set up a mattress for Maggie, Jeremiah didn't like the idea of her daughter...sleeping with someone so he said to set up a mattress until he could buy a bed for Maggie, Alex tried to argue back but he wouldn't take any of it, Maggie found it quite amusing watching Alex bicker with her parents. Lets just say Jeremiah was a very protective father.

Once the room was set up Kara and Lena went to bed in Kara's room while Sophie took the spare room, both parents went to bed and that left Alex and Maggie the only ones awake.

Alex tried to sleep but she couldn't, she decided to...try with Maggie. Without saying anything Alex hopped out of bed and crawled into Maggies mattress quietly, when she was positioned right she started kissing Maggies forehead, then her nose and down to her lips. Maggie was quick to pull away.

"Alex? What are you doing?" Maggie groggily spoke. 

"What do you think I'm doing" Alex whispered into Maggies ear. Alex continued kissing Maggies lips before bringing her own down to Maggies neck.

"Alex, don't" Maggie spat out, even though she didn't want her to stop, ever, it felt wrong, going against Alex's parents, especially after everything they have done for her.

"Stop talking" Alex laughed kissing her lips so she couldn't talk. Maggie was hesitant but soon relaxed into the kiss kissing her back, Maggie grabbed Alex waste and flip her so she was on top of her. She continued kissing her until she realised what she was doing.

"Alex I can't do this" Maggie said under her heavy breaths. Alex immediately pulled back after hear how serious she was.

"I'm sorry " Alex said, guiltily, hoping off Maggie, she quickly got off of Maggies mattress and sat on her bed, with her legs hanging down the side and her head looking at the ground. Maggie notice her sudden, awkward movements and felt a little bad.

"Hey no, Alex" Maggie softly spoke, she climbed out of her bed and walked over in front of Alex kneeling in front of her legs "Don't apologise" Maggie lifted Alex's head so she was facing her own "trust me, I wanted to" she paused "I really wanted to" Alex gave a small chuckle "I just- It wouldn't feel right, I'm mean, disobeying your parents".

Alex nodded in understanding, she felt bad that she almost pushed Maggie into something she didn't feel comfortable doing.

"I'm sorry, I made you uncomfortable, I feel horrible" Maggie shook her head, shaking it off.

"It's fine, honestly, you didn't do anything wrong" Maggie soothed, pushing back a strand of hair.

Alex got back into bed under her blankets. As Maggie went to get back into her own bed a soft voice stopped her.
"Could we at least cuddle?"  The quiet voice spoke. Maggie gave a soft smile.

"Of course" Maggie walked back over to Alex's bed climbing up next to her. When she was under the blankets she nudged her head into the crook of Alex neck. Alex could feel the warm breath against her next. Maggie softly kissed her girlfriend before grabbing a hold of her hand.

"I am so glad you're okay" Alex spoke.

"Me too"

"I really love you ,Sawyer" Maggies heart melted, she hadn't had anyone call her that for what felt like for ever, she missed it.

"I love you too, Danvers" Maggie whispered before kissing Alex's neck again.

The girls stayed like that for the night, cuddling and enjoying each other's company.
