New beginnings

Alex woke up early to make them all a nice breakfast. She quietly climbed out of bed trying her best not to wake Maggie up who was still lying next to her.

Alex walked down stairs and into the kitchen, pulling out all ingredients she needed. She decided to make a variety of things. She made pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit.
Once Alex had finished making all of the food and cutting them up right, she was going to set  up the table and make it look nice to surprise the family, but Alex got distracted when a voice jumped out from behind her.

"Boo!" The voice yelled while grabbing Alex's waist, trying to scare her. Alex almost had a heart attack. Alex turned around so she was facing the voice.

"Hey"Alex said a little upset "I was trying to surprise you all" she continued placing a soft but long kiss on Maggies lips. After a few seconds Maggie pulled back from the kiss but still holding onto Alex's waist.

"Wow, Danvers you went full out" Maggie said laughing. Alex placed another quick kiss on her lips before speaking again.

"Yeah, well, I wanted to surprise you all and show you how grateful I am for all of you" Maggie smiled at Alex sweet gesture.

"You're so cute" Maggie laughed, placing a small kiss on Alex's nose, making Alex blush. Maggie and Alex quickly set all of the stuff on the table and sat on the couch waiting for the others to wake up.  Alex placed her arm around Maggies shoulder as Maggies head rested on Alex's shoulder.

"I really missed you" Alex said looking at Maggie. Maggie smiled lightly but continued to watch the tv.

"I missed you too" Maggie replied.

"I-I didn't think I was ever going to see you again, I-I didn't think we were going to have a future together like I thought, I didn't think you were coming back" Alex spoke through quiet sobs. Maggie quickly lifted her head of Alex's shoulder and faced her directly.
"Hey, don't cry" Maggie said wiping Alex tears away. "I'm fine, okay? I'm home, I'm safe" Maggie kissed Alex forehead, Making Alex relax a little.

"But you almost weren't" Alex said starting to cry again. Maggie felt horrible, she hated seeing Alex like this.

"It doesn't matter anymore, I'm am okay now, thanks to you, you saved me, and Im forever grateful for that" Maggie said.

"I would do anything for you, okay? I need to to know that, I love you with everything in me, I want a future with you and nothing will ever change that, so if that means sneaking in too a school and having my alien sister get you out with her alien powers than thats what I will do because I love you" Maggie nodded along with Alex , starting to cry herself, they both ended up laughing at the last part. This time it was Alex turn to Wipe Maggies tears away.

"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danvers, and I-I want a future with you too, whether it may be kids, a house, Marriage, getting a dog-"

"We can call him Gertrude" Alex jumped in excitedly, Maggie nodded and laughed before continuing to speak.

"We can call him Gertrude" Maggie laughed "we have a whole life a head of us and I want to spend it with you, I love you too Alex" Maggie placed a soft kiss on her lips. Alex smiled at Maggie "but we really need to have a discussion about Kara" Maggie still had so many questions.
Alex just nodded and kissed Maggie again before cuddling into her arms. Not long after Lena and Kara came down the stairs hand in hand.

"Good morn- FOOD!" Kara screamed running to the table and digging into the meal Alex had made.

"KARA! That is for everyone" Alex yelled standing up and walking over to stop her. Lucky for Alex, Lena grabbed both of Karas arms and pulled her away from the food.
