"Yo!" I yelled, my arms wide to expose my torso, which now had coffee soaking the front, "Watch where the fuck you're going!" I placed down my half-empty cup of coffee onto the counter, glaring up at the one and only Gavin fucking Reed.
"Why should I? Maybe you shouldn't stand in my way." He replied, starting to make his own cup. I narrowed my eyes before snatching the cup from his hand and forcing the drink forward, making the coffee splash all over the front of his T-shirt. He looked down at his clothing before back up at me, leaning his weight onto his other leg as he tilted his head, "... Bitch." He simply said, keeping locked eye contact. I shrugged,
"I'm sorry, you were standing in my way from getting coffee." I sassed, placing a hand on my hip. He smacked his lips, "Here, I'll get you your coffee-" He said before taking the remaining liquid from my cup and doing the same thing I did to him,
"Hot and ready." He said a smug look on his features. I fought off the urge to cry from the burning liquid that was most likely staining my shirt right now.
"You think you're funny?" I questioned, now moving my hands from my hips to crossing my arms over my chest.
"As a matter of fact, I do." He smirked, "I find myself quite the comedic genius." He said, slightly pushing the cup of coffee on the counter away from the edge. Fowler then strolled in, looking at his two workers soaked in coffee,
"Now what in gods name is going on in here?" He questioned. I quickly took a step back,
"Gavin started it," I said.
"Woah, now hold on just a minute-" Gavin objected,
"He spilled bean juice on me."
"I bumped into you-"
"On purpose."
"On accident."
Fowler looked between the two before sighing, "Go. Change your clothes, and then I want you to head out and look at the last sighting spot of a recent criminal attack." He said. Gavin's eyes widened slightly,
"You're partnering me up with her?" Gavin questioned, "My partner is here, he's just-"
"You. And (Y/N). Research where this criminal could strike next. I want results in 4 hours." He glared.
"Fowler, you know why I can't be partners with her" Gavin glared. Fowler gave an 'okay' sign with his hand,
"I know."

I typed away a storm, researching, going through notes, databases, you name any cliche high school student action when writing an essay, and that's what I'm doing. Gavin then sat beside me, scanning my features,
"You didn't change?" He questioned. I shrugged,
"I don't bring extra clothes." I chuckled. Gavin thought for a moment before he got up, returning with his jacket before wrapping it over my shoulders,
"You can use my jacket to cover the stains. Since they're my fault anyway." He said. I would've given it back, being an independent woman and all, but I had to admit the jacket smelled extremely nice. I looked up to him,
"DPD's asshole just gave me his jacket, should I feel honored?" I teased. He placed a hand on my desk, leaning against it,
"Well, DPD's dipshit ain't returning it, so they probably feel honored already." He shrugged, throwing out his teasing. He then placed a cup of coffee on my desk, "Feel honored." He said before taking a seat at the computer across from me.
I smiled, grabbing the drink and taking a sip.
Gavin spun in his office chair before abruptly stopping to face me, he was obviously dizzy but seemed to ignore that factor,
"What movie genre does DPD's dipshit enjoy?" He asked. I rose a brow at the sudden question, taking another sip of my drink,
"I don't know? Is Disney a genre?" I asked. He leaned back in his chair,
"I've wanted to go watch that bad times movie."
"Bad times at the El Royal?" I asked. He sat up,
"Yea! That!" He smiled. My confused rose even higher, Gavin? Smiling? Not at someone's pain?
"What's up Gav? Why are you so happy all of a sudden?" I asked. Connor spoke up from his desk,
"He's at a high nervous level that he's trying to hide with joy. His nervousness is accompanied by stress, this level is usually wired to fear, more specifically, fear of spiders," Connor spoke smoothly. I gave him a confused look before Connor continued, "This level is also for the fear of being rejected." He said before turning back to his computer as if his job was done. I looked over to Gavin, his head in his hands. He then looked to me,
"Wanna catch a movie?" He asked, a bit too mumbled to make out. I narrowed my eyes,
"You shoulder checked me less than 3 hours ago to make me spill my coffee-"
"It was an accident!"
