Part 1: Contagion

"Elrphraents deence on FRIYAYS." Aquarius repeated for about the fifth hundredth time, slamming her fists down on the table as her eyes narrowed at her partner. She repeatedly took a napkin and wiped the saliva from her mouth, all while having that plastic piece stretching out the inside of her mouth.
"Elephants dent on fries?" Taurus asked in a questionable tone, running a hand through his blonde locs while his sapphire blue eyes flickered with confusion; his gaze fixated on Aqua's irritated expression.
I held back a laugh, watching as Aquarius quickly shook her head and continued to slam her fists down on the table; most likely swinging her legs from underneath. My eyes fell on the little hourglass that was placed in between them; with the small amount of sand falling to the bottom. Their time was nearly almost up, but it didn't seem like Taurus was getting it any time soon.
We were stationed at my place for the night; with Aries and Virgo joining us. Sagittarius was here as well, but she was seated off to the side; in the living room where she was binge watching one of her favorite movies. The rest of us decided to play a game called 'Speak Out', which was a competitive game that involved trying to guess the phrase that the other partner was saying.
The only issue was that they came with these plastic pieces that were to be placed in our mouths; stretching our lips and cheeks out and making it difficult for us to say the words clearly. The job was the get the most amount of phrases between 3 different rounds, and we were just finishing up round 3.
"Eraphernts durnts on FRI-DAYS." Aquarius repeated once more, sounding more and more frustrated as her deep brown eyes narrowed at Taurus, who didn't have a clue on what she was saying.
They were the team of two, while Virgo and Aries were a team and I was the scorekeeper. I would've played along with them, but Sag decided to sit out on this one. She could be a bit boring sometimes, but who was I to judge? I was sometimes the same, after all.
"Woman, I have no idea what you're saying..!" Taurus tugged on the hood of the penguin sweater he was wearing, pouting his lips as his rounded white glasses slipped towards the tip of his nose while he leaned forward.
Aquarius screeched as loud as she could, which wasn't anything out of the normal. I only rolled my eyes and held back another grin, sitting back and watching as the girl practically had a fit right in front of us. She brushed a hand through her soft brown hair and pulled her bangs back; her eyes cold and fierce looking, like she was reaching her limit with Taurus.
"Annnnnnd, time's up!" Virgo's clear, yet soft voice suddenly announced; sounding a bit choked up from trying not to laugh too hard. She sat cross legged on the table, holding up the hourglass that now had all the sand sitting on the bottom half.
"Welp." Taurus only shrugged, leaning over against the table and resting a palm on his soft cheek. I could only roll my eyes at him, wondering how he was usually so calm and collected, even in the worse possible situations.
Aquarius on the other hand, wasn't calm in the slightest. She practically ripped the plastic piece out of her mouth, scowling in disgust as she held it by the tip of her fingers; most likely because she despised germs. She then glared at Taurus, who only stared back at her with a deadpanned expression.
