I could sense that we had arrived at the orphanage because the taxi was getting slower and slower.  A part of me wished that the drive was longer so I could fulfill my longings of sleep and stay in the car with Izuku, but unfortunately time stops for no one.

My vision blurred for a moment and all I could see was fluffy green stuff that resembled my surroundings.  I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I slowly lifted up my head.

Izuku's head suddenly slipped off of mine in the process.  I panicked and quickly caught him on my shoulder.  His mother looked at me and smiled.  Her eyes showed a hint of amusement as she unbuckled Izuku and took him in her arms.

I smiled nervously and opened my own door of the taxi and exited.  I stared at the oak entrance doors with a sign that read "Musutafu, Japan Orphanage" and frowned.

My heart slowly picked up speed as I made my way up the cracked concrete stairs.  The building was three stories high and had countless windows.  Boys and girls of all ages lived there, and I was one of the youngest there.

Not to mention, one of the most unliked too.

The orphanage receptionist/manager was at a small work desk.  A shiny copper name tag hung loosely on her white shirt that said "Hayle."

She looked up and sighed heavily, lowering her glasses, giving me a glare full of hatred and disgust.

"(Y/N).  You're late for dinner and you left without notice.  I was so worried about you!   I was about to call the police.  Again, I am very disappointed in you and you are grounded as well.  No dessert for three weeks, no free time, and no going outside."

I forced a nod as tears stung my eyes, but it was not because of her punishments.  The punishments were nothing because I have had way worse.

The part that hurt was that she said all this in front of Izuku's mom and it seemed like she was concerned for me as if I was a child of her own.  She was just "putting on a different face" to seem this way.  I even knew she lied about the police.  She never liked me nor has she ever cared for me.

It was all an stupid act.
