Chapter 5

Alex's POV

I booked the bowling alley and Nando's table (I know you can't actually book tables at Nando's) in preparation for mine and Perrie's date tonight. I'm so scared, we've only met once and even then it wasn't really properly. Still she was special enough to not leave my mind since that meeting and she wouldn't have said yes if she didn't actually want to come. I just wanted everything to go perfectly. 

It was currently 4 in the afternoon, I was picking Perrie up at 6:30 so I had 2.5 hours to get ready which was plenty of time. I jumped in the shower, washed my hair etc and got back out. I dried my hair and put on my outfit for the evening. I was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and a bomber jacket. I hope I looked okay. 

I looked at the time, it was 5:45 and it took roughly 40 minutes to get to Perrie's so I decided to leave just in case there was traffic, which there would probably be.

Perrie's POV

The girls were currently getting me ready for the date. Leigh on the outfit, Jess on the make-up and Jade on my hair. Ahh I was lucky to have these girls. Alex said he was going to be here at 6:30 and it was now 6:15 so I was all set to be ready on time. The girls eventually left, not without telling me they would be over in the morning to interrogate me about the date. I scrolled through Alex's instagram to pass the time. He was fit to another level. I heard the doorbell which must've meant he was here. I opened the door to see his gorgeous face and immediately felt weak at my knees. How can he have this effect on me already? 

He opened the car door for me, such a gentleman! We chatted in the car about any and everything, literally. From favourite colours, to family, to careers. We had so much in common, it helped being in a similar industry with people wanting to know everything about you. Then he turned the radio on and we started to sing to every song that came on. I've never had such a fun car journey!

We arrived at a bowling, how did he know? "I love bowling" I said to him, he raised an eyebrow at me and just laughed. His laugh is so infectious, I hear it and can't help but laugh myself. We put our bowling shoes on and entered our names into the machine. He was first and got a strike, I couldn't believe it. Is there any sport this guy isn't good at? I went next and knocked down 8 and then got a spare. 

We played bowling for 1.5 hours and I've never felt this comfortable around a guy I literally barely know. He was just so easy to talk to and so easy to get along with. Also did I mention he was gorgeous? 

Alex's POV

The date's going really well, I think, Pez seems to be having a good time and so am I. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much, she's actually so funny, our personalities just compliment each other so well. We walked into Nando's and ordered our food. We talked mainly about our individual ambitions that we wanted from the rest of our careers. She wants to win another Brit award and go on a massive world tour. We ate our food and carried on talking for another hour afterwards. She's just so bubbly and beautiful and perfect. 

I drove her home at nearly midnight and thanked her for an amazing evening. I got her number so we could talk a bit more personally.

I flopped onto my bed and just prayed that she liked me as much as I liked her. She just let me be myself around her and it was all I wanted.

Perrie's POV 

I laid in bed staring at my ceiling, thinking about Alex, about how he treated me like a princess. There was just something about him that drew me to him, maybe it was how he allowed me to be myself. What I did know was that I wanted to get to know him more.
