Chapter Ten - Blake's Point of View

"Um? Guys? I'm just gonna go to the toilet." Katie said. James watched as she wondered off into the distance. "You better watch her," James said, "she seems very.. What's the word I'm looking for? Needy? Yeah she seems needy, but there's another word..."
"Slutty?" I suggested.
"Yep. There's that word!" He exclaimed jumping up out of his seat.
"I want what he's got." Luke said pointing at James. James laughed.
"How much are you willing to pay?" He asked.
"Nothing." Luke replied quietly feeling embarrassed that James didn't understand that he was joking.
"I think you scared her off," I laughed, "she hardly ever leaves to go to the toilet."
"Yeah? And?" Alec asked, "maybe she actually needed to use the bathroom."
"Maybe," James shrugged, "or maybe I did scare her off."
James sat back down, and watched her bag. "James?" I asked, "what are you doing?"
"Thinking." James replied.
"About what?" Adam asked.
"About what's in her bag." James replied. I reached out and took a hold of her bag and so did James.
"James, mate," I said, "let go of the bag please."
"Nah," he replied, "I wanna look."
"She could have anything in there," I replied, "like pads and tampons."
"Blake!" Adam scolded, "I'm tryina eat here!"
"Sorry! Okay? But it's the truth!" I yelled.

Everyone in the shop looked at us and I felt James loosen his hold. I reefed the bag back, but there was no use. James just grabbed onto it again. We sat there pulling the bag back and forth across the table, until James finally let go and all of the condoms went flying...

"Shit!" I cursed and ran around frantically to pick them all up.
"What the fuck?" Adam asked. A condom had landed in his food. I laughed. "Now your food has protection." I said.
"Fuck up Blake." He replied with a chuckle whilst hitting me on the back.
James stuffed a condom in his beanie. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"Stealing basically." He shrugged.
"Those are Katie's," I said, "not yours."
"Yeah I suppose. But this one is mine." He said pointing to his beanie.
"Whatever." I laughed.
"What about this one?" Adam asked gesturing to the one in his food. James ran over and took it out of Adam's food and rubbed it on Adam's shoulder to discard any left over food residue, the placed it inside his beanie as well. I put the handful that I had back into her bag. Then returned to picking more up. "Why does she have so many?" James asked picking up another condom and shoving it in his beanie.
"She was a slut." I replied.
"What do you mean was?" He asked.
"Before she met me, she was sleeping around." Alec replied.
"And you trust her?" James asked.
"Yes." Alec replied.

I dumped another handful of condoms into her bag, whilst James kept on stuffing his beanie. I noticed a different coloured condom. I read the packet and it was chocolate flavored. I laughed then showed the other boys who all laughed expect for Alec who sat silently. "I wonder what she does with those." Adam replied with a smirk.
"What happened to, 'shut up I'm eating'?" I asked him.
"Um? I've finished eating." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes. Of course he was. I felt my head get heavy. My vision started to blur. No not here. No, no, no, no. Not here. Anywhere but here. "I-I've gotta go to the bathroom." I said before I sprinted towards the toilets. Running was a bad idea. I almost ran into two people, one teenage girl who screamed at me, and one big man covered with tattoos who told me to watch it.

I locked myself in a toilet stall, put the toilet seat down then sat down on it. No. Please not here. Not right now. My vision turned completely black. Then I saw blood. I saw lots of blood. I saw a car then blood again. Blood. More blood. I saw Katie scream then a car blow up. A car. Burning. More burning. Sirens. Blue and red. Loud yelling noises. Paramedics. All of it flashed through my brain. It was rather quick. And it hurt my head.

I started to snap back into focus. I didn't know where I was. All I could see was the tiles on the floor. Then I realized I was in a toilet stall at the shops. At least I didn't have one of my moments whilst I was driving. I decided no one was going to catch a ride home with me just in case. I walked back to everyone. "How long was I gone?" I asked.
"You weren't gone that long." Luke replied.
"Yeah, Katie isn't even back yet." James said.
"Ah okay." I replied.
"So why were you gone?" Alec asked.
"I have these episodes where I see things.." Blake replied.
"Oh, right." Alec replied.

I could see Katie walking towards us. I sat down and waited.

"Her she comes." I said trying to sound joyful, but it just came out as a bland statement.
