Chapter 24

We spend the rest of the night, dancing and share a small talk here and there. Tonight... Is the best night in my entire life. I wonder what it's like when Karma and I get married. I hope we will... I hope he'll propose to me. I'm sure I will be the happiest person alive.

Hopefully... We will get married...

-Finally... Things Would Finally Get Better-

Y/N P.O.V

Karma and I have moved not far away from the school. We both agree to move in together. He don't want to be apart from me... and so am I. I wouldn't want to be separated from him.

We rent a small apartment. Since we attended an assassination school, we don't have to go to college.

It was pretty early in the morning. But we have been awake for an hour. I'm sitting in the living room's couch, with Karma sitting next to me. He have me wrapped up in his arms. I feel so comfortable in his arms. It makes me feel safe and secure.

I'm currently reading a book. While Karma just sit there in silent. He didn't say anything since he know that when I'm reading a book, I will be focus on it.

But a sound of stomach rumbling caught my attention. I turn my head to look at Karma. He is looking away from me, but I can see his pink cheeks. I giggle at him.

"D-don't laugh..." He said, looking at me with his still red cheeks. I lean up and place a soft kiss on his lips. I feel his lips moving in sync with mine.

Then I pull away. "If you're hungry... You could have said so..." I said, looking at him. "Ah well, you're so caught up in that book of yours... So I don't wanna bother you..." He said, burying his face in the crook of my neck. I giggle at his cute side. "but you need to tell me if you're hungry" I said.

I place the bookmark on my current page and close it. Then I get up. "What do you wanna eat? I'll cook for you..." I said, looking at him with a smile. He looks up at me and shake his head. "Let's have a meal outside..." He said. I smile "yeah sure..." I said. I offer my hand for him to grab and he did. But instead pulling him up, he pulls me down. I squeak as I land on his chest. He laugh at me "cute..." He said. I pout at him. He peck my lips softly. Then he get up with me in his arms. "Let's go now then..." He said. I nod my head and we start leaving our apartment.

We decide to have a simple meal in a cafe. Karma held the door open for me. I smile softly at him and walk in. He walks in after me. Then we found a seat near the window.

I take a seat and he did the same. We take a look on the menu. Soon the waitress come to take our order. But she have a flirty smile on her face as she looks at Karma.

"What do you wanna order, cutie?" She said. I roll my eyes at her. Karma glance at me and smirk. "What's the best offer you have?" He said. "The pasta is great..." The waitress said. Karma send her a wink "we'll have that..." He said.

Karma looks at me when he walks away. I look away from him. "What? Babe... You know I'm just joking, right?" He said. "By winking? Are you serious?" I said. "Hmm... If I don't know better... I'd say you're jealous..." He said with a sly smirk on his face. I scoff "yeah right..." I said. "I'll talk to her then..." He said. I glare at him. "Don't you dare!" I said. "Okay! Okay! Relax... I'm just joking... You're the only one for me, babe" he said. I blush at what he said. He chuckle and place a soft kiss on my cheek.

The waitress come back with our order. He place one in form of each of us. She smiles at him. "Anything else I could get for you, cutie?" She said. "No thanks..." Karma said, this time his voice is a bit cold. The waitress look at him in surprise. Then she just give him another flirty smile. "Here's my number..." She said, handing him a slip of paper. "Nope... I have the one for me..." Karma said, pulling me closer. She looks at me and scoff. Then she storms off.

"There... No need to be jealous, babe..." He said pinching my cheek. "Ouch! Stop it~" I whined. "Okay... Sorry babe..." He said. Then we starts to eat our meal.

As we eat. I hear someone calling for us. I look up from my meal to see Gakushu with a girl. I just look at them as they walk towards us. He stands in front of us. "Y/N... Fancy to see you here.... And you too, Akabane..." He said, as he look at Karma.

Karma glares at him, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "what do you want?" He spats. I place my hand on his, which is on my shoulder to calm him down. I don't want him to cause a scene.

Gakushu raise his hand in surrender manner. "Calm down dude... I've changed... I'm not here to take her from you... Not anymore..." He said. Then he wrap an arm around the girl's waist. "I have her... Guys... This is R/N (Random name). My fiancé..." He said. Karma relax a little after hearing his announcement. But he's still a bit tense.

The girl offers her hand to me. "Hi... It's my pleasure to meet you... I've heard so much about you..." She said. I smile softly at her. "It's a pleasure to meet you too... I hope we can be a great friends..." I said. We shake hands. "Yeah! I would love that" she said. Then they join us.

I talk to the girl the whole time. As Karma talk to Gakushu. We all get along just fine. I smile happily. They finally got along. Finally...

Things would finally get better.
