"Even though next week is thanksgiving I have homework assignment for you guys. A project to be exact"
The whole class erupted in groans of protest. Next week I only had one job. Eat. Now I have a project to worry about.
"The school has teamed up with The Homeless Children Of America Organization (HCOA) to give kids that has no parents or a permanent place to live a chance to enjoy thanksgiving and Christmas. The kids range from six months old to six years old"
When she said that the whole class got quiet. Everyone seemed more interested in what she was saying rather then focusing on the fact that we have homework over thanksgiving break.
"This will be like your project from last year where you took care of a fake baby but this year we have real kids. Because the kids are real this project is worth fifteen grades. So if you don't take this seriously you'll get fifteen zeros which is thirty F's"
My eyes literally popped out of it's socket. The marking period is almost over and now she decides to give us a major project. If anyone doesn't do it they are bound to fail the whole marking period.
"You are to act like a married couple with your partner. You guys will be one happy family and nothing else. I want the child to have a stable home and parents that likes each other. With that being said I will not be assigning you your partners this time, you can pick your own. You can team up now"
Silas and I immediately looked at each other. He was about to come to me but Emily pushed him back down in his seat. She must've hit her head on a dick If she thinks she's taking Silas from me.
"You are my partner and that's final. We can pick a beautiful baby and raise her or him together. I will be expecting a wedding ring on my finger by tomorrow"
Emily said. I can just imagine the crazy smile that's on her face. Silas sighed and pushed her away from him. He made his way to my table and sat down.
Since there was no one left that willingly wanted to team up with Emily she had to be a single mom. Mark was even hiding from her so she wouldn't pick him. He ended up with the quiet girl in the class though.
"Since you all have your partners I'll like for you guys to meet in here during lunch and pick out your baby. This project will last from thanksgiving all the way to a day after Christmas but you'll offically get your babies after school. You have to bring your babies to school too. I wish you all the best of luck"
"So who's going to tell my parents were married with a kid?"
"Not it"
We both said at the same time. Even though Silas whispered it I still heard him. I refuse to get murdered by my parents. I don't want fifteen zeros either.
But if Silas tell them nothing will happen to him. They won't kill Silas since he's not their child.
"We'll figure out what to tell them later. Right now I want talk about how we'll take care of the baby. Do you want a girl or a boy?"
Silas whispered. I had to lean in close to him for me to even figure out what he means. I'm staring to miss wasting paper on writing notes with him. He be whispering way too low.
"It might be a typical answer but I really want a girl"
"It's a good thing you said a girl because I want a little princess. Jordan is evil"
For the rest of the class we discussed our plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since we have a child we have to take her into consideration.
We decided to pick a one or two year old since we both love babies.
