Chapter 28

I snapped Ma'kai seat into it's compartment. My boy was ready to go home in a day. He's big and healthy and so is Mommy. It was a little cool outside so I covered his legs up. I back out the seat before coming in contact with Beyoncé. I kissed her lips long and hard.

"Q, you gone sit in the back with your brother?" Beyoncé asked him.

"Nope!" He said closing the front passenger seat.

We laughed.

I helped Bey in the back seat. Then I jogged around to get in the front seat. "You want something to eat baby? Breakfast?"

"Yeah! I could eat." She said.

"Whatchu got in mind?" I asked.

"Waffle House is fine! I'll call it in."

"I'mma take y'all home and get y'all situated. I'll come back out to get it." I told her pulling off. "Y'all okay? Hot or cold?"

"We're good baby! Thank you!"

"Okay!"

I'm happy to get Beyoncé and Ma'kai home cause I got a huge surprise for her. I know she's gonna love it. As I pulled in the driveway, I saw that Mama Tina was already there. She said she was going to help clean and sanitize the place a little more.

I followed Bey upstairs to the bed. I know she was really tired and wanted to lay down. I need her to in order for me to get her surprise anyway.

"Wassup man?" I smiled as Bey laid him on the bed.

He was awake for the first time since he was born. Q came in the room to crawl on the bed with him.

"He already black." He said.

We laughed, "Yeah, he's a little dark." Bey laughed. "He'll lighten up."

"You gone lay down baby?"

"Yeah! He's going back to sleep and I'm about to follow right behind him. I'm so tired."

"I know you are! You still want something from Waffle House?" I asked helping her into the bed.

"I think my Mom is cooking so we'll just eat that." She said.

"Okay, well I gotta step out for a minute to make a quick phone call. Then I'mma come back and chill with y'all for a bit."

"Okay!" She said.

I kissed her lips before heading downstairs and out the front door to call up Meek. "Hello!"

"Hey man! We home!"

"Okay, cool! He said he can get it delivered by 5PM this afternoon." She said.

"Okay! Perfect! Thanks man!"

"You welcome! See y'all later."

"Aight! Bye!"

I jogged back upstairs and climbed in the bed, careful not to wake an already sleeping Beyoncé, Ma'kai, and Quincy.  I know they were hella tired. Hell! I am too!

"That look good?" Meek asked.

"Yeah, perfect! I'm finna go get her."

I opened the front door, just as Beyoncé was coming downstairs holding Ma'kai. Only her mother, sister, and brothers were over. We didn't want a house full with Ma'Kai just being born and us just getting home.
