After the messy party, Sean was shocked when he got a few texts from Jenn, who wanted to spend more time with him. Of course he was excited and confused at the same time. But often questioned himself whether Jenn was into him or not.
After a few weeks, Jenn often asked Sean out for a movie or dinner. They started to spend more time together. Sean sometimes even forgot about the dinners and skateboarding with Lyla.

After some time, the upcoming school dance on December 15th was almost there as Sean was nervous about what to wear and how to slow dance. A week before prom, Sean called Lyla on Skype.
"Hey Lyla." He greeted while taping his fingers on the desk anxiously.
Lyla gave him a small smile. "How's your date with Jenn?"
Sean hesitated for a moment and frowned. "Date? It's not a date, just a daily—"
"Come on man! She's definitely into you, what's the problem?"
Sean rolled his eyes and gestured. "I wanna take things slow, is that a crime?"
Lyla burst out laughing. "Shit, you're so adorable."
"Okay, I guess you can call it a 'date' or I dunno." He replied reluctantly as Lyla tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Okay, Serious talk, did you ask her for the school dance?" She sat straight.
"Yeah... well... she asked me to the prom technically."
Lyla rolled her eyes. "Such a fucking gentleman, Diaz." She said with a thick sarcasm.
He sighed and folded his arms, leaning back on the back of the chair. "Anyway, I need your help."
She widened her eyes as soon as she heard those words. "You need my help? I thought you can handle it yourself."
"You know I suck at dancing, maybe you could come to my place after school every day to help me with my stupid dance moves?"
She raised her brows. "Seriously?"
He sat straight and groaned. "I'm fucking serious Lyla, I'm desperate."
She thought for a moment then stared back at him. "Okay, I can do that, I'm a professional by the way." She gestured and smirked.
Sean chuckled. "Thanks, Lyla, you're the best."

The next day after school, Sean took the school bus with Lyla and they both arrived at Sean's place. As they got off the bus, Sean squinted as he saw a person through the kitchen windows.
"Lyla!" Daniel rushed out of the house and stood in front of them.
"Hey Daniel, nice to see my cute little 'boyfriend' again." She waved and giggled.
Sean rolled his eyes beside them then patted his hand on Daniel's shoulder. "Enano, can you bug her later? We got something more 'important' to do—" He tried to pushed Daniel back to the house but he resisted. "What kind of thing? Like boy and girl thing?"
Sean and Lyla both frowned, looking baffled.
"Yeah, guess you could say that... Let's go Lyla." Sean glanced at Lyla and both walked into the house together, left Daniel out there.
"Then Sean might need a condom." Daniel frowned, seemingly deep in thought, then went back to the kitchen to grab some chips to eat.

Arrived at Sean's bedroom, he opened the door, letting Lyla get in first. "Ladies first."
She giggled. "You know I'm a girl, I felt so relieved to hear that."
"Or you're not a girl? My fault then sir." Sean joked as he closed the door and threw his backpack on his bed.
"Haha, very funny girl." Lyla teased him as well.
"So, " Sean clapped, walking toward Lyla. "let's get started."
Lyla grinned and took out a CD from her pocket and put it in his CD player.
"Wait, what are you going to play?" Sean turned and asked her.
She leaned in and pressed the play button, turning back at him and walked toward him.
Crazy by Aerosmith started playing.
As Sean heard the word 'come here, baby' popped up, he groaned. "This one? How come could I slow dance to this kind of song?"
Lyla seemed attracted by the song as she started humming the melody and swaying her body.
"How could you say that? It's a classic!"
She stood closer to Sean and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Come on, feel the rhythm and loose yourself." She glanced at his hands then looked back to him. "Put your hands on my waist."
"What?" He widened his eyes.
"Do it, just pretend I'm Jenn."
Sean sighed and put his hands on Lyla's waist.
"Okay, look at me, just listen to the rhythm and sway your body left and right." She guided him as she swayed her body to the left then slowly to the right.
Sean often glanced at her to make sure he's doing right, he stared down at her feet then looked up at her. Their eyes met.
"That's kinda easy, actually." He said.
She smirked. "See? You just learn how to slow dance."
They both swayed as they stared at each other as if they were already at the prom.
They were kinda awkward and didn't know where else to look at but each other.
"Thanks, Lyla, you've been helping me a lot recently."
She shrugged and smiled. "It's not a big deal, we're freaking fighters remember?"
He let out a small chuckle. "Yeah man, freaking fighters forever."
Then suddenly none of them spoke as they just stared at each other in the eyes and swayed through the music. Their gazes became softer and softer as Lyla held him even tighter, they remained silence until the chorus came.
"I go crazy, crazy, baby, I go crazy." Lyla burst out singing which startled Sean.
"Damn, Lyla—"
"You turn it on, then you're gone, yeah you drive me—" She let go of Sean as she spun herself with joyous abandon then held his hands, implying him to sing with her.
"Crazy, crazy, crazy, for you baby," They sang the chorus together as they pointed at each other.
Suddenly Sean got on his bed and continued singing. "What can I do, honey," He jumped up and down on the bed and sang as if he were a professional singer, lowering his voice to imitate the singer's husky voice.
"I feel like the color blue." Lyla sang as she giggled for Sean's goofy dance moves on the bed.
"I'm losing my mind, girl. Cause I'm going crazy—" They both sang the lyrics dynamically.
As the guitar solo kicked in, Sean did the air guitar as Lyla laughed so hard and clapped her hands. "Yeah, Sean!" She exclaimed.
After the solo ended, they were back at their singing positions as they sang along to the rest of the song.
As the song ended, they high fived to each other and laughed hard. "Oh my god, you're crazy Sean." She gestured.
"Crazy, crazy—" Sean was about to sing the chorus as Lyla shoved him. "Okay, that's enough of today." She giggled as she turned and grabbed her bag.
"You're going home?" He asked.
She glanced at her watch then looked up at him. "It's kinda late, and besides— you've already learned the moves you want."
Sean stared at her, seemingly reluctant to let her leave. "Okay, remember to send me a copy of Aerosmith, I'm in love with them." He smiled as Lyla raised her brows. "The CD? you can keep it, I have a few copies at my house." She gestured at the CD player.
"Re—really? Thanks dude, I love you—" He paused, then changed the words. "That came out weird, I mean— Thanks Lyla, I owe you one." He patted her on the shoulder and gave her a small smile.
She smiled back. "No problem—"
As she was about to twist the doorknob, she turned back to give Sean a quick hug. "Bye, good luck with the prom." She said.
"You too, Wait—" Sean let go of her and frowned. "Who are you going to prom with then?"
She though for a moment then replied. "Dunno, maybe Eric, but that would be fucking weird."
"You can just go...as friends, right?"
"Yeah, you're right, I'll think about that or else I have to go there alone. Sooo pathetic..." She joked.
