"Calum is the vice President of the Company." Michael affirmed. "He's coming in a few days. You will meet him, eventually."
"Oh, okay..." I said.
Just for you to know, this couldn't be the most boring party I had ever been. Of course it was huge and all, but I just met four people today, being just one with me. We wouldn't drink. Well, I could, but since the last time I get that drunk, I'm afraid of drinking again, not at least in the middle of this crowd.
The dress I borrowed from Elle, was always out of place. Just a little thing added to this hot temperature.
"Maybe I'm going outside for a little bit." I shouted to Michael over the music.
"Do you want me to come?" Michael shouted. "Only if you want to." I answered.
Michael held my hand and guided me to the backyard. Of course it will be much better.
"Michael!" Someone said from behind us. We both turned around only to be greeted by a tall blond girl, very beautiful, but with an amount of makeup that wasn't necessary. Just look at her for a second and you could easily say that she was like Elle type.
"Kim!" Michael said, trying to cover up his not-so-excited-to-see-someone mood. "How can you have this big party? What did Calum say?"
"So many questions!" She laughed. "Calum doesn't know anything about this and nobody is going to tell him. Who's the girl?" She said, redirecting all the attention towards me.
"This is Athena. She's new at the company..."
"Hello..." I said, a little bit too shy. Why should be me to be so these things?, I thought.
"Welcome to Hood & Friends Company." She said with high pitched voice. "Well, I should probably get some drinks. See you!"

Luke and Elle were nowhere to be found. Ashton had passed out on the back seat of his own car. Michael was driving and I was almost falling asleep even while in this short drive.
"Do you live far away from here?" Michael asked.
"No. I live a couple of houses down from Elle's. You can drop me by hers." I said.
"No way, Athena. Which house?" He demanded.
"That white one." I showed him. "Thanks for bringing me home, I was completely fine walking." I genuinely said.
"No problem, sweet. See you tomorrow?" He said, and peeked my cheek
"Yeah. Goodbye, Mikey." I waved.
What. A. Day.

The next morning I had decided to make a better impression than my actual first day at work.
My pencil black and tight skirt along with a new white shirt that I recently bought made a good outfit. I decided to wear my vivid red lipstick and grabbed my favourite blazer of all the times. I checked my phone: 07:30. I am supposed to be at work by 08:30 am so I got a little of time to have breakfast and talk to my mum to take her car.
“Do you really need to take it?” Mum said, not a little too happy today.
“Yes, mum, I do really need to take it. Now…” I said, grabbing her car’s keys from her hand. “… I need to piss off.” I kissed her cheek. “See you later.”
“Be careful, Athena!” She shouted.
I laughed. I used to be very careless all the time, I would lost all of my things, I would break all of our plates, I would hurt myself... But as I “grown up” as a woman, I took a step back and tried to be more responsible which, should I say, was a great step at my life. I entered in my mother’s grey mini cooper and turn on the radio, who greeted me with The Neighbourhood’s song.
I turned to know that this ride to work was really easy to find and really easy to remember. I grabbed my bag and all of the necessary stuff to work and went to the Company.
“Well, good morning, sunshine!” Someone from behind pull me from my waist and my back met a hard chest. I tried to know who it was, and Michael’s face appeared.
“Jesus Christ, Michael. Never do that again! You scared me!” I said, getting away from his grip and sitting at front of my desk.
“Sorry, Athey. I just wanted to make a surprise…?” He answered me with a simple laugh and a statement that he even didn’t know if it was or if it wasn’t. “Did you see Luke or Elle?”
“No, Michael, I didn’t. I just got from home and sat, the only person I saw was you. But, why? Did they say something?” I asked, trying to concentrate in these papers in front of me.
“Luke said he was probably getting late to work today… and since Elle was with him last night, I thought that the two were coming together too.” He said, doing that cheeky smile of him.
“Maybe they had fun, maybe not. But we all know how Elle can be sometimes, don’t we?”
“Yes…” He affirmed and then went silent. “Well, I let you work on that. I’m going to do my work too. Don’t you want a coffee first?”
“No, Michael, I don’t. But thank you.” I told him, smiling.
After a long moment and after redoing my calculations at this work, a few voices started to came louder and louder at which second that came by. I wasn’t interested to know why, because I thought it would probably be the Kit Kat break and everybody was making conversation.
“Pssss.” I heard. “Pssss.” I ignored. “Athena!” Michael shouted. “Look at who just got from home…” He smirked.
I looked at the door of the office only to see Elle and Luke walking through it. But by the their pale faces… well, we could easily say that something went bad…
