Calum P.O.V

My life has never been so most likely as a rollarcoaster. My life has really changed.

I wasn't expecting so much of work, so much of responsibility and so much of hate from some co-workers at the company. They all thought I went on a business trip for all of this time. But I was not. I had to lie even knowing the consequences. I had to make what was good for me.

I couldn't come without worrying. Why? I can't even explain it to me. One morning I just wished I could be at home, Australia. I wanted to forget about everything. I wasn't even caring about this actual life. My London-ish life, my work life. Although the girls were extremely awesome here than in my hometown.

I came back because of one call. Ricky just couldn't forget for God sake me. ‘Where are you this?'; ‘where are you that?' I wanted to live my life. Believe in that YOLO bullshit. I wasn't like this, but I couldn't care less.

And then... Well, she came into my life.

Monday night. Forced to come for a stupid dinner. A dinner for me. It's freaking cold outside even though we're in August. England can transmit you beautiful landscapes, a good lifetime in here, but nothing like these degrees under 0 or so and days as little as a pea.

I want to be late, I'm the special guest anyway.

Maybe fresh air does help you, I mean, you need to relax before something. I'm not nervous about the dinner... I'm just... Normal. Simple and the Charming Calum for those women. No one needs to know what happened and no one will need to ask anything about it.

I am so distracted about the world that I almost collapsed with a girl that was walking and staying stopped at the front of Ricky's.

I gentled touched her back that was slightly covered with her dress. She didn't seem to react. I tried again.

"Hello, I haven't seen you around here. What's your name?" I said and smiled. Hopefully she would fall for it. She's a piece from heaven and I never saw a girl like her. Her black hair and her brown/green eyes really suited her and I wanted to know her name. If she doesn't come to dinner and might got the way to the wrong house, I won't hesitate to ask her to see her again or even her phone number. I want to meet her. I want to be her friend.

"Yeah, I have worked in the Company for a week or so now. I'm Athena Miller. Nice to meet you." Athena said. She intregues me even more.

"Nice to meet you too. I'm Calum Hood." I introduced myself to her and showed her my hand.

She stared at me like in pure shock for finally meeting me. Some guys in the company know me since we were little kids and I'm getting preoccupied by that fact.

"I see you don't like handshakes, mm?" The tension in the air was a little bit awkward and after questioning her that, I laughed.

"Well, yeah. I mean, I like handshakes! I'm very sorry." Faster than I thought, she reacts and grabbed my hand giving me a little squezze, and smiles to light up the tension and the situation or not wanting to pass a bad impression which, in my opinion, will never happened since I kind off think she is cute.

"I guess you heard a lot about me. I hope it was always about the right side." I smiled.

"Definitely, it was." She puts her thumbs up, causing me to chuckle because of her way to sound happy. "I'm sorry, but it is really cold outside. Mind if I go inside? Maybe we could talk during dinner and get to know a little bit more each other. Oh God, I'm sorry. I shouldn't talk this much..." She rambled, but I was happy too, since her opinion being so helpful, making my own wishes to come true.
