Chapter 25
Baekhyuns pov
"It was her Chanyeol. She sought me out. I don't know how she got my number but she called me last night telling me to meet her. She was flirting with me. I, of course, only want you so I indirectly rejected her but she was persistent and as our conversation continued she got mad that I didn't seem interested so she stormed off. I ran after her because I wanted to ask her about her true feelings for you because I care but even though you couldn't see since you were far it looked like I kissed her but the truth is that she kissed me."
I easily told him my story that was full of bullshit as I patted myself on the back inwardly as I looked at him and he was totally believing my story. I could see it in the way he listened. His eyes were focused and his eyebrows were scrunched up as he was thinking about it.
"I mean... if you think about it... why the heck would I call her? What reason could I possibly have? Heck I'm not even interested as you clearly know I'm gay and I would not kiss a girl." I said smirking inwardly again.
He sighed. "I don't get it... why would she do that? She knows you're gay too." "I don't know ChanChan..." I sighed as I took his hand in mine and he looked at me as I looked at his hand putting on an innocent and caring face slightly pouting making me look even cuter than I already am.
"Please be careful ChanChan... not for me, not for her but for you." I said with a twinkle in my eyes looking in his. "I just don't want you getting hurt. I still care for you... you know?" I said with a gentle voice. He sighed softly. "I know." He hesitated but kissed me on the cheek and hugged me.
"Lets start."
12AM
Hye Jungs pov
You came out of your dance practice and as usual Chanyeol was waiting for you outside the dance studio. He looked at you giving you a small smile that wasn't the same... it kind of bothered you but you decided to just let it pass.
Perhaps he was just having a rough day. "Let's go." He said as you nodded and he started walking you home. "So where were you during break?" He asked lowly making you give him a face but you just answered. "I went to pee why?"
"You should've texted me. I was waiting for you wondering where you were." "Okay...? Why would I text you when I just need to pee?" "So I know where you are and what you're doing." "Right..." You said slowly. "You've been acting weird oppa."
"How?" "Look at you asking me about everything. What's wrong with you?" You asked gently. "Nothing is wrong with me." He said coldly only making you wonder even more. "I just need to know about you."
"The heck that means?" "I want to know what you're doing on a daily basis." "Yah~ stop it~ you don't need to worry about me oppa~ I'm fine~" You said assuming that he was just worried about you as you walked in front of him and smiled softly. "I'm not worrying about you. I just want to know things."
You raised your eyebrows slightly hurt at his words as you let his hand slip away from yours. "Oh... well I'm sorry for assuming that then..." You awkwardly said as you sighed and looked down continuing to walk.
He sighed as he grabbed your hand pulling you back to him. "Yah where are you going? Don't walk away from me." He said slightly gentler but still not his usual warm voice. "Are you having a bad day oppa?"
"Hm? Ani wae?" "Seems like you are... you don't seem to be in the best mood. Did something happen?" "No... that's not it... just... don't worry about it." He reached over wrapping an arm around your waist as you shivered feeling his cold fingers on your sides.
"Your hands are so cold~" You whined as he shrugged and gripped your side a bit too hard. "Yah! Ow~ stop~ you're going to tear my side fat out." You joked as he realized he was holding you too tightly as he loosened his grip and mumbled, "I'm sorry."
You shook your head. "It's okay oppa. Don't worry about it." You smiled lovingly at him and leaned slightly to his hold. He didn't really look at you as you continued walking.
When you reached home he gave you a slight grin as he leaned in to kiss you softly. Was it just you or did it not feel the same? It was still his kiss but it felt like he was hesitant to kiss you. And then during the kiss... it felt different than his other kisses.
It felt as if it was less loving. A bit more empty as if he was afraid to show his affection for you. As if he was hesitating to show you his feelings. As if he was hesitating to continue loving you.
Was it just you? You shook the thoughts from your mind and just pushed them to the back of your head. Maybe you were over thinking everything. You were tired too and you just tend to think a lot of things when you had nothing to think about. Maybe you were just overreacting to something that wasn't even happening.
"Thanks for walking me home oppa. I'll see you tomorrow." He nodded. "Make sure to let me know where you are." You nodded as he waited for you to go inside your apartment before leaving. You crashed on your bed until the next morning.
The Next Day
You had finished your dance practice late and you assumed Chanyeol would know better than to wait for you. Your dance practice finished at 2am. You got out of your studio and was relieved when you didn't see him standing there only because you were glad that he didn't wait for you the whole time.
You didn't have time to text him that you would be late. You walked home by yourself and when you got to your apartment you stopped when you heard a voice.
"Where were you?"
