Chapter 34
It had been 3 hours since Chanyeol left. You sighed hugged yourself on your bed. That one sentence... how could he have just said it to you like that? You didn't want to give up in the relationship. Not after everything that had happened.
He made you happy before so maybe it will be fine when everything just gets cleared up. You stared and you laid down exhausted from your fight with Chanyeol and you knocked out on your bed.
3 months later
For the past three months had been terrible for you emotionally. Every single day he would text you exactly when you wake up. You would report to him. When you ate, what you ate, when you went for work.
You would have to tell him when you were on your breaks and to be sure you weren't lying he would come and meet you during your breaks. You would text him when you finished work and sometimes he went so far as to ask you when you went washroom.
You felt like you had less and less freedom to do things you wanted to and most of the time you wouldn't answer his late night calls or texts because you were simply too tired. This would make him leave a whole bunch of messages and he would be angry in the morning but there was nothing you could do. You would report to him on weekends but no always.
You felt like he never believed you and never trusted you. You felt as if everything you told him, he thought was a lie. There were sometimes when you almost thought you were lying too. But you weren't lying.
Every time he asked you where you were or what you were doing, who you were with you became even more hurt as your heart slowly shrunk. You felt as if he was drawing the oxygen from your lungs that enabled the possibility of you speaking some sort of lie to him yet it also took away your ability to speak breathe.
Slowly for the past three months you became even more isolated only answering to him just hanging onto the slim hope that he would believe you even just a little bit.
You didn't know why you were hanging onto him despite how you felt at the moment. The only thing that kept you going was to win back his trust. You wanted to clean your slate to make him believe you that you were a good girl. To make him believe that you are trustworthy and a good loyal girlfriend.
The next day you decided to try to destress yourself by going out. A little freedom to go out is alright right? You got dressed and right when you were about to leave he texted you.
"Are you awake?"
"What are you doing right now?"
You sighed. "Hm yes I'm awake... just getting ready." "Getting ready for what?" "I'm going out." "Going out where?" "I don't know. Shopping maybe?" "Want me to come?" "I appreciate your offer but I think I just need some time alone."
"Are you sure?" "Mm. I'll talk to you later." "Tell me when you get to the shopping mall." You sighed looking at his texts. Why did he have to ask you about everything? Why couldn't he just let you be?
You walked to the shopping mall but you decided not to text him. He didn't need to know. You were a grown up and you could take care of yourself. You didn't need to report to him as if he was your mom.
Then again... he might think you're lying... you pondered for a bit and thought about it. Maybe if you texted him, he would believe you. These thoughts always ran through your mind and emotionally you were exhausted. "I'm at the shopping mall now."
"Which store are you going to?" "Make up store?" "Is that confirmed?" "Yes." "Are there men around you?" "No... just girls." "Are you sure?" "Yes." "Go ahead. Shop. Tell me when you go to another store." You sighed.
You felt as if you needed his permission and it made you feel like crying that he couldn't even trust you to go to the washroom without suspecting you of doing something. Enough was enough. You needed a break so when you finished you didn't text him at all after that and you turned off your notifications.
You sat at a table to eat your lunch. It was some tofu soup. It was in an isolated place since you just wanted some peace and quiet away from your boyfriend who interrogates you about everything you do. You stared at your soup and slowly sighed thinking about your, at the moment, painful relationship.
You flinched in surprise when someone sat in front of you talking a bit loudly in contrast to the calmness of the setting you were currently in. "Well if it isn't our Hye Jung Ah!!" The corners of your lips automatically curved upwards seeing that handsome face of your best friend.
"Luhan oppa! What are you doing here?" "Mmm... just getting out for a bit to relax~ how about you?" "Trying to de-stress..." "From what?" You sighed and looked at him. "This is going to be a long story then." He leaned back in his chair.
"So tell me. What has been going on with you for the past three months?"
You told him everything and eventually you just hung out with Luhan for the rest of the day not thinking about it much and just enjoying being with him. It helped you so much. It had been a while since you felt this kind of happiness.
You were strolling along with him as he was walking you home. You thought about it for a moment. "Luhan oppa... I have to tell you something." "Hm what is it?" "I'm debuting in two weeks."
His eyes widened as he smiled widely. He suddenly hugged you tightly. "Congratulations!! Oh my gosh! Our Hye Jung ah is finally debuting!! You have to tell me when so that I can stream it alright?!"
You smiled. "Arasso! Arasso!" You laughed as you hugged him. He sighed feeling so happy for you. "But... you didn't tell him did you...?" You sighed and shook your head. "I'll tell him soon. There's no secrets in this relationship..."
"Well I'm just glad you are finally debuting!" He wanted to squeal from his happiness for you but he held it in and instead he picked you up and hugged you tightly. He finally let go of you and as you turned to walk to your apartment you froze.
"So... this is what you have been doing? You've been out with Luhan all this time?!"
