He froze as his eyes widened. His mouth hung ajar. "They told me you died! They told me that you drowned in the river and they couldn't find your body!" You said crying. Your voice cracked.
He suddenly hugged you tightly. Tears welled up in his eyes. "I-is it really you? Koneko? This isn't a dream? They told me the same thing as you!" Your heart warmed hearing him say it again.
You nodded. "I-it's me..." You said as you buried your face in his chest. He started crying hard as he held you tightly. "I thought you died! I-I lost all hope of seeing you again and I couldn't even see you in a cemetary!"
You cried in his arms at the same time holding onto him and embracing him. The arms you longed for ever since that treacherous day when your family told you the horrible news.
He started crying even harder when he remembered once again how much of a bitch he was to you. "I-I'm s-sorry... I-I'm so so sorry Koneko... I-I'm an asshole... I-I'm sorry..." He choked out as you shook your head.
After you both sobbed for about an hour and finally started calming down as you both sniffed you asked him,"H-how K-Koinu? H-how could they l-lie to us like that?"
"They're assholes that's why." He wiped away your tears with his thumb as you wiped his tears away as well. He breathed and then he thought for a moment. "Wait, Koneko..." "Mm...?"
You answered neither of you letting go of the other. He tilted his head down to look at you. "How did you live after I 'died'?" He asked anticipating your answer as he gave you a hard stare.
"I lived on the streets wae?" He looked at you shocked. "What?" You asked him curious as to why he reacted like that. Instead of answering you he suddenly let go of you and went and kicked a wall and punched it.
He then grabbed his hair and let out an angry yell keeling over. "THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS!! IM GOING TO KILL THEM!! THEY AREN'T MY FAMILY!! I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY!! I DISOWN THEM!!"
He yelled and kicked the wall again. "Hey hey~" You called out to him calmly. You took his fist in your hand and you pulled him close to you and made him face you as you cupped his cheek.
You caressed his cheek with your thumb gently as he breathed heavily. "Hey hey~ Koinu~" You called gently. "Calm down puppy. What is it?" "No... you don't understand. T-they took it!"
"They? Your family?" He nodded. "They took what?" "Your inheritance!" You just looked at him. "What inheritance?"
He stared at you. "What?" "You didn't know?" You shook your head. "What inheritance?" You repeated. "Your parents left it in their will that you get the inheritance. They gave a share to my parents as well that was more than enough to keep them going for life. You, Kim Hye Jung, was supposed to receive $15 million in your inheritance when your parents died. They gave $5 million to my parents. But that means that when they faked your death they took all of that inheritance and moved overseas with me to Japan."
He said as he hugged you. "I'm so sorry... they're terrible people! I promise you... I will get your inheritance back from those filthy bitches." You sighed and shook your head. "How could they be such gold diggers?!" You asked angrily.
"They couldn't even leave me with $1 million to live off of? At least?" You said as he was still mad too. He gritted his teeth. "I'm going to find a way to get back your inheritance. That money was meant for you. Not for them. Not for me. But for you." He said as he paced around thinking about how to get the money back.
"Baek... I know... this is random... but... remember that day when the both of us died to each other?" He nodded looking at you. "What did you want to tell me and give to me?" His eyes widened slightly. "I was going to give you your parents will including your inheritance."
"And?" You asked noticing that he only told you one part of it. He blushed heavily as he said in a quiet embarrassed voice. "I... I was... going to confess to you and give you this." He said as he took off the necklace from around his neck. He helped to put it on you.
"It's a bit late... but... here." You looked at him surprised as you looked in the locket. Your eyes filled up with tears as you hugged him. One side was a picture of your parents. The other side was a picture of Baekhyun and you but the both of you knew that this was as best friends not lovers.
"Arigato Koinu! Watashi wa mada anata o aishite... Peku o." You mumbled in his chest. It translated,'Thank you Puppy! I still love you Baek...'. "Watashi wa anata ni amarini mo koneko ga daisukidesu. Doitashimashite." He said in your ear as he hugged you tightly. It translated,'I love you too Kitten. You're welcome.' .
"Shin yu to shite." "Shin yu to shite." It meant 'as best friends' because you both understood the your relationships between the two of you and between yourselves and your true lovers.
The reason why the both of you knew Japanese was because when you were growing up together you both wanted to talk in a language that no one around you understood so the both of you learned Japanese together and hence your nicknames for each other were Japanese.
When you finished holding each other his eyes widened as he thought of it. "I can give you the will! Then you won't be a dead person in the family and that inheritance will have to go to you!" "You still have the will? After all these years?"
He clenched his fists as he nodded. "Those motherfuckers knew..." He said also realizing another thing. "Realized what?" You asked as he looked at you angry and apolegetic at the same time. "Don't you get it? I...it was my fault Koneko. It was all my fault! They knew I was going to give you the inheritance so they did everything they could to prevent it and take your fucking money! It's all my fault! But... I never told them anything..."
He said as you shook your head. "No... it's not your fault Koinu... it's theirs for being greedy and taking the money." You sighed. "You were right... people like that will never change... I'm sorry..." He shook his head.
"I'll go get your inheritance and parents wills. Meet me at the hospital in an hour okay?" You nodded as you hugged each other once more before you departed. Baekhyun snuck into his house grabbing what he needed before going back to the hospital. He ran to the hospital as if he was going to get caught and stopped when he met you.
He smiled warmly as he gave it to you. "Arigato Koinu." He nodded. "You're welcome Koneko." You walked him back to his hospital room and hugged him once more. "Don't get caught." You joked. He smiled and nodded.
"One more thing... Koinu... you should consider... forgiving Chanyeol... you know he didn't do that on purpose..." He sighed. "I will forgive him... when I play the piano again."
The Next Day
Authors pov
Luhan left for a bit since he had to talk to the manager about their schedules and such. Once he finished and came back to the room he knocked on the door and walked in.
"Baby did you finish eating-" He was halfway asking and closing the door when he gasped. His eyes widened when he saw food dishes scattered along with the food on the floor.
The flowers were thrown all over the floor around Baekhyun and all over him also who was kneeling on the floor sobbing clutching his tummy protectively. His clothes were ripped and he had bruises on his back and arms.
His hair was messy and he was breathing hard this time not acting. He ran to Baekhyun hugging him tightly as Baekhyun buried his face his chest crying.
"T-the b-baby... o-our b-baby..."
"What the hell happened?!"
"T-they found me oppa..."
