Laying under my covers just dozing off, I could hear the children talk in the room beside me. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying, but I could hear from their voices that they were reassuring Lucy of something. I feel bad for them, I know what it feels like to suddenly live a place you know nothing of, but I made a mental promise, and I tend to stick to it.I will do whatever I can, to make them happier about staying here. I'm going to be there for them when they need someone because I know the feeling of being alone all too well.

Helping Mathilda ( the house chief) with setting the breakfast table, I take in the smell of freshly baked bread. 'ugh... so yummy..' I had it "ordered" from Mathilda this morning, hoping a good homemade breakfast with fresh eggs, newly baked bread and sweet homemade jam would make a nice impression on the kids.
The door to the dining hall slams open with a bang, and I almost lose a tray with plates down on the dark oaked floor.
"is the breakfast ready set Anna-Maria?, the kids will come down now any minute and I will not have it that the food is not served on time. And have the professor eaten yet, should I tell the kids to come down in an hour or so? and dear girl what are you wearing? where is your uniform?" The Mcready all just throw the questions out before she struts to the table inspecting it.
"Yes, Mrs. Mcready The professor and I ate earlier this morning, so the siblings can come down. And as for the uniform, it was dirty and I wouldn't be able to wash it in time for breakfast. besides, I think the uniform is a little too formal, don't you think? " I question her while looking at my dress. I thought it was quite cute.
Before she could make any comment, the Pevensies comes in looking all but happy. I assume it is because of the rainy weather outside. Just hoping the food will cheer them up.
With a comforting smile, I greet them with a small wave. "Good morning. did you sleep well?" I ask when the Mcready is gone again.
"The sheets were a little scratchy" Lucy replies with a tired smile. "Oh I'm sorry Lucy, I know they're not the best, but you will get used to it. I will try to make you someone a little softer. Alright? »
« Oh Anna.! Can you do that? » her eyes sparked with a little excitement.
With a laugh, I reply that it's no problem. And it's not, since I first arrived here years ago, fiddling around and making things out of different fabrics is something I enjoy quite well. A passion of mine that grew every time I made something new.
« But eat up now kids, don't want the toast to get cold, now would we? » I say with a wink.
The girls sit down along with the oldest opposite of them. The brown haired boy is just looking at me like he's examining something."Something wrong Edmund?"
" How do we know you haven't put anything in the food?" He says while looking directly into my eyes.
