"Louis!" Emery was desperately trying to push past all the student in his way, but no one would move easily for a tiny, nerdy kid. "Louis, I'm sorry! I promise it won't happen again."
Louis paused long enough for Emery catch up to him, and, without looking at him, managed to exude waves of dissaproval.
"Really, sorry, Lou, I didn't mean to get drunk-"
Louis whipped around to face his best friend. "But you did, and it's over and I'm angry with you for leaving me all alone while you went and made a fool out of yourself. So deal with the consequenses."
"I didn't know that would mean losing my best friend..." Emery sadly drifted off, and Louis huffs, knowing what his best friend is up to.
"Fine, but this means you do the History project too."
----
Dammit. Louis quickly shook his head and hoped no one could read his mind. I didn't think he would be here. Louis is at his favorite diner, nursing a milkshake to get rid of his headache (from studying too much), but he isn't getting much peace and quiet. Curly is here, with a couple of friends who are obviously bikers as well. It's funny, he's seen a couple of these people around, but never Curly. Maybe he's older?
Whatever, it's not like it mattered anyway.
Back to the point. Asshat (oops) and his friends were laughing, and not helping Louis' case. He wanted to march up to them and demand a quieter environment, but that would attract unwanted attention to him-
"Look, it's a Bunny!"
Crap.
Curly slid gracefully out of his booth, and sauntered toward the seething boy.
"I told you not to call me that." Louis didn't dare look at the taller of the two, resisting the inevitable conversation.
"Oh, but Bunny, I think I made you a promise. Come on."
Curly grabbed Louis' thin wrist in his own rough hand, and started pulling out of his booth, but Louis yanked back just as hard.
"What promise?" Louis rubbed at his wrist unconciously.
"A ride, babe, a ride." A wink and a dimpled grin made Louis even more furious.
"No." Louis waved his hand at the waitress, wanting to leave, now, but Curly had other plans.
"Yes!" He smiled cheerfully and grabbed Louis' wrist again, and, successfully dragging Louis out of his booth, waved goodbye to his friends.
"Wait! Let- me- Let me go, you-" Louis was squawking at the biker, who paid the small boy no mind.
"Oh, this'll be so fun! C'mon, Bunny, please?" And how could anyone say no to that face?
----
And that was how Louis found himself laughing, hands pressed to his Curly's stomach, head pressed to his back. The world was a blur of lightwindhappycoldwarm and Louis loved it. He was in love with the feeling of skimming across the ground, the feeling that he was flying, the heady giddiness of it all. Louis never expected this.
He couldn't stop smiling.
