I grabbed my books out before slamming the door of my locker shut. School has started and the holidays were over. I plugged in my ear pieces and dragged myself to the classroom that was assigned to me. 2E1. I reached the classroom and immediately walked to the back of the classroom. Taking a seat. Sadly, We were forced to seat with a partner. "Hey, is this seat empty?" A voice asked. I turned to my left and saw a blonde haired boy smiling. I slowly nodded and he immediately took the seat next to me.

"Hi, my name is Aries. I just transferred." The boy said as he extended his hand. I nodded and shook his hand before I looked out of the window.

To my dismay, it didn't take long until the teacher for the first period stepped into the classroom. I sighed and plugged out my ear pieces before stuffing them into my pocket. I pushed up my glasses and pulled out my textbooks for the new lesson. The teacher introduced Aries to the class before starting the first topic of mathematics. I hate mathematics. All the numbers were really confusing. I didn't want to stay in school or go home either. I began spacing out and allowed myself to be swallowed by my imagination.

"Luna, do you mind solving the question for us?" The teacher called out, jolting me back into reality. Crap. I slowly stood up, pushing my glasses back nervously as I read the question on the board. "Rachel bought 69 roses at $(x+2) each and 46 sunflowers at $(2y-1) each. Find and simplify, in terms of x and y, an expression for the total cost of the flowers."

I'm dead. I'm so dead. How was I supposed to know? Ask Rachel, whoever she is. She bought the flowers not me. I was about to open my mouth to reply a random answer when Aries whispered, "69x plus 115y dollars."

I stole a glance at Aries before turning back to the teacher and replying, "69x plus 115y dollars, Miss." The teacher eyed at me suspiciously before nodding to let me sit down. "Thanks" I muttered and Aries smiled.
