athena slowly knocked on daniel's door, waiting for him to open it up. after a few seconds, the door finally opened, revealing the boy with very messy hair, sweatpants and no shirt.

"hey, come in. i'm sorry this is a mess. be right back, i gotta put a shirt on." the blue-eyed boy said as he walked back to his room, then coming back out with a black t-shirt on.

"so..." daniel said to start conversation. "how was new york?"

"it was great."

"just great?" they both sat down in the couch.

"it was pretty fun. i missed home like hell, but i got used to it." athena said smiling a little bit as she remembered everything about college. her friends, the activities and her teachers who were the nicest humans on earth.

"how are you adapting to los angeles again?" daniel asked out of pure curiosity.

you'll see, athena was back in los angeles but she didn't have her own apartment. or at least just not yet. she had to stay with her mother, myta and with her siblings, ryan and reese. she didn't mind, tho, she got to spend time with them to recover those two years they spent away from eachother.

daniel and athena kept talking for the rest of the night, until something came over both of them. they started to get very touchy and flirty. they didn't know if it was the fact that the had not seen eachother in a very long time or how late it was, but it just happened.

they didn't notice they were leaning in, until their lips met. they shared a long and passionate kiss. it was full of only lust, not a bit of love or feelings towards the other. both were in desesperation and need of someone to love them. without anyone, they fell empty. they felt as if they needed someone to be sane. that was the only reason that athena gray herron and daniel james seavey hooked up.

the events that took place in daniel's couch later passed to his bed. while they were in the middle of having- well you know, someone walked in.

it was jack. jack robert avery. he didn't knock due to how close him and daniel were. he never knocked and daniel never knocked as well.

he was surprised with the sight. i mean, who wouldn't be? he saw his ex and his best friend hooking up, and it spooked him.

just as the two heard the door open, they jumped. athena freaked out when she noticed that who had walked in was jack.

"holy shit." she mumbled under her breath.

"i-i'm sorry. i-i'll just leave." jack said as he turned around.

"jack, bro-" daniel stood up, with a blanket around him and followed jack.

"daniel it's fine. i'm over her, she's over me. she has you and i have gabbie." jack said. "i'm okay with it."

with those words he walked out of daniel's apartment.

athena dressed up as fast as she could, ready to leave the apartment and go to her mother's.

"i'll talk to you later, daniel."

"yeah, bye."
