Possible trigger warning...

Strapped down and run down

I wake up strapped to a hospital bed with bandages on my wrists.

"Steph. . .? Is anyone there?" I try to say, but my mouth is as dry as the desert.

"Oh my god! Your awake! I'm gonna go get the doctor!" I think that's. . .

"Jeremy?!" I shout. Well try to.

"Yea, it's Jeremy. Hold on- let me get the-" he starts before I interrupt

      "Where's Steph?!" I interject.

"He went home. When he knew that you were settled in here, he left."

"He wouldn't just leave. That's not like him. Boyfriend or best friend, doesn't matter. He wouldn't just leave. I don't believe you! I want to see Steph!"

"He couldn't see you strapped down like this! He couldn't emotionally handle it! So he left. I'm sorry, but it's true!"

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, JEREMY!" I scream as loud as I can, "GET THE FUCKING DOCTOR THEN GET YOUR LYING, STUPID, JEALOUS, PETTY ASS OUT OF HERE!"

"Stop fucking around then! You shouldn't have run home and started this drama if you didn't want this to happen! You've done this before! Run home and added to your suicide attempt numbers just to get attention! Your the fucking petty bitch here! Don't go calling me shit that you don't fucking understand!" He shouts back before bursting out of the room and slamming the door behind him.

"PRICK!" I shout at the door.

As I'm trying to move, the doctor comes in with my mom.

"Why the fuck am I strapped down like a fucking crazy ass bitch?!" I yell as loud as I can at them.

"Your tone and language could explain it all. But since you asked, because you attempted suicide. We strapped you down and took all sharp objects out of this room just in case you woke up and tried to do it again. We don't take chances," the doctor explains.

        "I don't give a fuck. Where's Steph?!" I'm seething.

"Oh honey. He went home. He couldn't handle seeing you like this. He doesn't understand what pushed you to do this. He doesn't know your past like Jeremy does. Remember, Steph wasn't the one who found you like that all those other times. It was always Jeremy. I'm sorry," mom says with tears in her eyes.

"I just want to go home and see Steph. . ." I start before bursting out in tears.

"You know that's not possible unless you have a nurse come and check on you. And I know how much you hate that. It's up to you, honey," mom says for the billionth time.

"I just wanna go home! I don't care how, I just wanna leave!" I scream at
them.

"Ok, honey. We can go home," she says before turning to the doctor, "can we go home please? I have a nurses degree, I can watch her. And she'll be with her best friend the whole time before she goes back to school in a week. Let her come home!" Mom pleads.

"She can go home. But the second she feels suicidle, she must tell you or her best friend and you bring her right back here. Deal?"

"YES!" Mom and I both shout at the same time.

. . .

"Come on! Pick up! Pick up!" I shout into my phone, waiting for Steph to pick up.

"I don't want to talk to you right now. You didn't have a reason for what you did, but you did it anyway. Now if you'll excuse me I have to-"

"If you'd come over, I'll explain. But if your gonna continue being like this, then maybe we shouldn't be together."

"I'm coming over. Don't you think for one second that I don't care, that I'm mad at you. I'm mad at what you did. Ok, I have to concentrate, I'll be there in ten. I love you so much, Kelsey. I'm so glad that your okay," he says before ending the call.

         I'm not okay, though.
