~lazyjellybeanIt's My Time to Leave
I slowly walk to my locker to get my stuff so that I can go home. And since I don't plan coming back here, I take my few possessions home.
I know I should probably talk to Steph, but I can't. Even though I know he's going to hate me, I don't stop walking.
I reach the school doors and walk out, hearing the faint sound of the alarm as I walk away and never look back.
. . .
"Why are you here, Kelsey?" Tamara says worriedly.
Tamara's parents are my parents best friends. They all grew up together here in this place.
"I need you to give this to Steph," I hand her the sealed envelope I've had ready for months. I rewrote it and put it in an envelope and now he's going to get It.
"What is it?" She questions.
"Just please?" I ask her, "please, there's one for you too, but you can't read it till tomorrow."
I wrote a total of four letters. One for my mom, Steph, Tamara, and Jeremy.
"Here's yours. Just please don't read it till tomorrow."
"Okay..." she says as I walk away and get into my car.
. . .
I slip my moms letter underneath her pillow, because I know that's where she puts her hand most nights.
My dad... he isn't present like she is. He's always leaving for work. He never talks to me. And honestly, less people I have to hurt.
I go into my room and find all of my blades.
You can do this, I think to myself, its better this way.
I grab everything that means most to me; my phone, earbuds, the sweatshirt I stole from Steph, and Polaroid pictures of me and Steph.
I walk into the bathroom and pull out random pills and put them in an empty pill bottle. I grab my knives and put them into my purse.
It's time.
I grab a water bottle and walk to my car, driving as fast and far as I can.
. . .
Unknown POV
Oh no, she's leaving, I think.
I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I followed her anyway.
I saw her walk out of school, drive to Tamara's house and drive home.
When she walked out and to her car she hesitated on opening her door, like she was having second thoughts about something.
What the hell are you doing Kelsey?
. . .
Tamara's POV
I don't know what she wrote in these, but it can't be good if she wants me to wait till tomorrow.
"Tamara, open it. Read it. She could be in trouble," I say out loud to myself.
I carefully open it and pull out the letter and start reading it.
Dear Tamara,
I'm so sorry that I have to do this to you, but it's something I must do.
You were one of my first friends. And I appreciate everything you've done for me. Thank you for being there and not walking away. You've been the best sister and friend to me, thank you.
The day I give you this, later tonight, I will be leaving you all. I can't take anymore pain.
I tried my best, but my best will never be enough for anyone.
I will always be watching over you guys from above and be in your hearts.
I'd say the words "don't forget me," but I don't want you to dwell on my death.
Have a happy life, Tamara.
I love you, Tamara.
Your friend,
Kelsey"NO!" I scream as I wipe hot tears off my cheeks.
I grab my car keys and run out to my car, not caring to put my seatbelt on and I just start driving.
A/N:
I cried writing this one, sorry if I made you cry too. Also, this is just part one of chapter fourteen. Stay tuned because part two of this chapter is coming soon!
