"I knew something wasn't right. It didn't even feel right. Whenever I went into the room, it felt like something else was in the room already. England was correct about feeling another presence. I honestly first thought it was an exaggeration, I was definitely wrong." Romania sighed. "Well, not much happens from there until I couldn't take it. I just handed it to Norway."
"Alright. I took the mirror to my country, and brought it home. Nothing happened much until 2 months after I got it. Whenever I came home from a meeting or something, some of my items would either move or disappear. I knew it couldn't be my imagination. I thought that it was the work of some sort of magic. Of course I can't immediately assume my own idea. It might have been a coincidence. Until 1 week later. I was organizing my room, after a visit from the other nordics. The mirror was safe besides my bed. As I was cleaning, I heard a spine chilling voice from behind me. I can't recall what it said, but it had something to do with me. I looked around and saw somebody. It was a male, he looked just like me. But looked nothing like me at the same time. In a blink, he just disappeared, and it was just my reflection. During that moment, I was kinda frozen in thought. You know those times where you see something unexpected, and you body freezes? It was just like that. I snapped back to reality and walked up to the mirror. I observed it for a while and noticed some small cracks around the edges on the glass. It was strange, because the mirror was able to endure all the incidents when it belonged to the monarchy. I called Romania and England soon after." Norway explained.
The two beside him were nodding in sync. "Now you know our part of the story." England huffed.
"Hold on. Your story is still missing something. What was the thing in the mirror? The presences you guys felt, it all connects doesn't it?" Belarus piped up suddenly. It threw everybody off guard. She never usually participates in any meeting to be honest. "She is right. What was that mirror really for anyways? England said you guys wanted to solve something. Were you solving a mystery or testing a theory?" Hungary asked. Romania was about to answer before England interrupted. "Actually, I guess you could say it's both."
"So what was this theory?" Japan asked. Norway cleared his throat. "Well, we were trying to summon the souls that were trapped inside it. They were trapped inside the mirror as punishment for their horrible deeds when they were living. Some say that if you summon one, it is possible to switch the soul inside with anothers. By helping the trapped soul inside, different gifts will be given to you. For example, immortality. There were rumors about it for centuries. We wanted to see if this was real or not."
"But instead it backfired." England sighed. "Nothing happened at first, but everything turned into déja vu a few months later."
"So instead, you guys opened another portal to another world. The mirror as a gateway for other versions of us to use so they could enter our world. Apparently my '2p' has already entered, saying he has a job to do. He might be planning on taking over the world. Fantastic. Just fantastic." I remarked sarcastically.
Silence rang through the Hall. "T-take over-a th-the world?" Italy murmured, breaking the stiff silence. "AHHHH, GERMANY, GERMANY!! I-A DON'T WANT A STRANGER-A TAKING OVER THE- A WORLD!!" Italy cried, clinging on to Germany like there was no tomorrow.
More murmurs and cries grew louder around the hall. Even from the mirconations. Italy invited them, if you readers were wondering.
What are you talking about, porkie?
What do you want, you demon?
Oh nothing, I just asked a question and watching your sanity level go down.
Psh, as if. As a hero, I'm as sane as ever!
Oh drop the act. It's really getting old.
But to them it isn't. They still haven't figured it out. And as long as they don't notice, my mask remains good as new.
About that. You need to show them who you really are, Confederacy.
Don't you dare call me that!! It's America to you!!
America, the land of freedom and equality. None of that is coming from you.
Tch! You can believe in anything you want.
I have observed you for years America. Ever since the Revolution, you've noticed changes in yourself. Your changing even more without realizing it. You know the secrets that is impossible to figure out by mere humans. You knew even before the Magic Trio that there was something beyond your world. You knew every solution to every problem. You knew the cold truth. The truth about yourself. The truth about losing everybody you really cared for. You have a reason for pushing away your friends and family. You knew the result of losing your mind. You even knew what's behind the fourth wall.
. . . . You're more observant than I thought.
A quality we both share.
What's your point anyways.
If you don't spill your secrets, I'm doing it for you.
YOU WOULDN'T DARE!!
I'm doing it, Confederacy. No matter how much you protest.
DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME BY THAT NAME!!
I shook my head violently. A bad headache starts forming and I stand up. "I'll just be out in the hallway. My head is starting to ache." I mumbled. Germany looks at me and nods. "Don't stay out there. Jou better come back in 5 minutes."
I walk outside the door and take a deep breath. I press my back against the wall and sit down, burying my face into my hands.
He really does know a lot about my situation. If he really does spill my secrets, my whole act will crumble to the ground. Everything I've put up for years will be for nothing. This is terrible. Absolutely terrible. But he wouldn't really know everything, right? Everything I've hidden away from the world is safe. Safe in my journal.
A wave of panic struck my body.
