It had been a peaceful week. He dropped me off and picked me up at Campus on time everyday. I felt I was finding myself again, living a little more. Then there was that part of me that always thought it was just too soon. On days when the bed was too comfortable for me to get up I would be woken up and my bath would've been run for me already. Too good to be true, that scared me.

Gilmore and I were excited about the weekend. Loyd was going to a work function so I had invited Gilmore over for a sleepover. It would be a great night we had promised each other. I felt like Gilmore was more excited than I was and that made me so happy.

So when we got home we put some music on, tidied up, had our bath and jumped in our pyjamas. We started preparing dinner in our pyjamas and checked nice meals we could prepare to impress Loyd on YOUTube. Just as a thank you gift for everything. We had nailed the meal on our first try and enjoyed a tasty dinner over a nice chick flick movie.

It was after ten when Loyd sent a text letting me know he was fine and I didn't have to wait up. So we didn't wait up. He was responsible and I wasn't worried about him.

The following morning as I was walking towards the kitchen counter, almost half asleep, I stepped on something on the floor. I looked down to find a pair of heels I had never seen before. Gilmore hadn't brought heels with her. I was certain of it. So I went back my room to make sense of this.

"Isn't it obvious.... He brought a girl home," Gilmore reasoned. "You thi.... Well I guess he did... I mean he can bring whoever he wants to bring its his house afterall." Gilmore giggled. I found it irritating, for some reason. "What you laughing at?" I asked, clearly annoyed by her actions. "You sound jealous babe," she said her eyes still gleaming with humor. I stood up and left the room. I felt really annoyed.

If Loyd wanted to bring women he could but atleast he was supposed to let me know instead of me almost getting tripped over by his fool's heels. What kind of woman just took of her heels and tossed them on the kitchen floor. I didn't like her, whoever she was. She had poor upbringing and clearly Loyd didn't have good taste in women. No wonder he was still unmarried. His relationships probably never worked out.

I had been lost in thought with a glass of water in my hand when I heard a familiar voice from behind me, "A penny for your thoughts." Him! "Just wondering why some mothers never taught their daughters to put away their shoes neatly." He chuckled and started walking towards his little pantry, "Did you sleep well?"

How many times do I have to say the nerve of that man?! He clearly planned to just ignore my comment and move on. He could bring whoever the hell he wanted to bring over here. It was his house afterall.
