" So " Peter started with a smug expression "shall we talk about your date ?"
You turned beet red "um....."
Lucy giggled at your expression , Caspian however seemed to think the subject of your date was something private and shot Peter a harsh look .
The tall , dirty blonde boy cleared his throat " never mind then " , you silently thanked Caspian and sat down .
"Where's Ed ?" You asked
"Missing him already ? You've only had him all day " Lucy teased . You scoffed not liking this side of her .
"He hasn't arrived yet , susan went to get him "
"Okay " you said timidly . Why were you being so shy all of a sudden ?
"So how was the date ?" Peters voice called from the head of the table , he seemed to have gained his confidence again .
"Fun " you mumbled
~ meanwhile ~
"Wow ed who knew you could be so romantic " Susan said proofreading her brother's work .
Edmunds ears turned scarlet "y-you think she'll like it ?"
"She'll love it , now let's head to dinner "
When they finally arrived for dinner Peter was smirking , while caspian glared at him and Lucy laughed her head off , all while you sat quietly in your seat like a tomato .
"Lucy , stop you aren't a hyaena . Peter , wipe that look of your face or I'll do it for you and caspian are you trying to burn holes into my brother's head with that glare ?" Susan said as if she were an angry mother , her expression reminded you somewhat of Molly Weasley " and {Y/N} dear , please stop blushing , you look like strawberry "
"She's more of a rose red " Edmund had gone pink , he had just realised what he said and decided it best to sit next to you quietly .
You placed your hand next to his as if silently asking if he was okay . He took your hand in his and squeezed it lightly .
After Susan's outburst the teasing stopped . You all sat , eating in awkward silence , making eye contact every now and again .
Though there was an awkward tension you didn't want it to end , that would mean letting go of Edmunds hand under the table but as they say all good things must come to an end .
Lucy was the first to rush out , Edmund fled the scene soon after but not before giving your hand one final squeeze , caspian and Peter seemed to be waiting for you and Susan to leave .
You decided it was your turn to vamoose but when you finally made it to the door .....
