Dear Diary,

Well today was the first day of auditions. I left my hotel. I took the tube and travelled a few stops. I got down and was way earlier than expected. There was a huge line outside the theatre where the auditions were going to take place. I decided to get some coffee as I still felt sleepy. I couldn't find a nice coffee place except some cafe called LitBits. The name didn't sound like a cafe at all. The place was empty too. I entered and looked at the menu to see what I could get. I saw these strange items and I went like 'wuuuuuuuuuut'. None of the words said coffee at all. The cashier greeted me. I decided to talk to her about my order. "So like I want coffee but none of these things say coffee." The cashier looked at me in confusion, "What's coffee?" I was shocked, in fact I might've opened my mouth in shock. The doorbell rang and someone entered.

It was a girl, but not like any girl I had seen. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had the silkiest hair I had ever seen. Her eyes were so mesmerising, I felt lost in them. Her face was the exact representation of what beauty is. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She waved at me, "Excuse me, it seems like you need help ordering, cause I see the cashier still there." I just nodded my head without hearing what she had said. She came up close to me and put her hand on my jaw and closed my mouth and smiled, "Be careful, a fly will enter your mouth."

She laughed and asked me what I wanted. "Well I wanted a coffee and didn't know where to buy cause there's nothing nearby, so I came here, and this guy doesn't know what coffee is." She looked at the cashier, "I'll have a regular one, and a Hock drink." I extended my hand with the cash with it, "I'll pay for both of them." She pushed the cash back, "Don't worry, I got this." She paid for both and grabbed our drinks. "Well let me pay for my drink at least." She replied, "Don't worry, we'll meet someday and then you can repay me." She smiled again and I stopped dead in my tracks. It was the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. I was afraid I might've been in love.

"Hey come on mister, don't just stand there." I jogged to catch up to her. "So I didn't catch your name?" She asked me. "That's because you might've not played Cricket. Sorry about that." She laughed, "Good one." I went back into deep thought thinking that she actually laughed at my joke, is she the one for me? My one true soulmate. "Hey Cricket, I'll leave without you if you stop again." She said. "I'm sorry" as I rushed to get back to speed. "It's Alexander, but people call me Alex or sometimes Ducky." She laughed, "Why Ducky?" "Well they call me Ducky cause I can't swim even though I naturally float on water."

We reached the theatre. "Well I guess this is me, Ducky". "Wait, you're in the audition as well?" I asked while sipping my drink. "Well yes, I temporarily work at this theatre, but I'm looking to become an actress." "Well I guess I'll see you some other time." She waved and started to go inside, "I don't even know your name." She smiled and then replied, "I guess that's for next time then." I went inside using the backstage door. I saw a few seats kept behind a table with a huge stage for the people to audition, just like a school play. "Hey I'm sorry, this is all I could arrange, but I guess this would work." I adjusted my chair, "Did you see the line outside? Do you realize how many people came to audition?" He nodded his head as he was about to sit on his seat. I knew I wasn't going to excel at this thing so I put on my cap and hid my face hoping Swill would see the acting and decide. Maybe I should've gone with Charlize Theron. But I wouldn't have met that girl at LitBits. But then that was out of the question, I don't think I was ever going to meet her. I closed my eyes and thought about her.

Slowly one by one, artists came on stage, acted their part and left. Swill kept writing something in his notepad. At one point I got bored so I asked him what he was writing in his notepad. He lifted his notepad to show me that he was basically doodling, smh. I finally decided to look at the performance. I focused a little and could hear some person saying backstage, 'Just play this part and then they will tell you if you should wait backstage or not. Good luck!'. The woman came onto the stage slowly. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was her. I hid my face with my cap watching secretly. "Hello, my name is Sofia Jackson, and well I'm here for the lead role." Swill replied, "Yeah yeah, that's what everyone is here for."
