Rumor got around town and the Christian adults didn't like hearing about the tall, tall tale of a dark, muscular, male in-body, flying monkey. Regardless of religion though, none of the adults liked hearing about the so-called monster two teens may have, or may not have witnessed.

Dee Dee walked the halls with Princess by her side; within Dee Dee's hands were papers she had printed up at her school library. Since the Land of Oz wasn't so nice about technology and the gadgets there of, Dee Dee had to do things the old fashion way.

"They know about the flying monkeys!" The Princess practically screamed. She rushed forward and pushed the two doors to the kitchen opened. That night, the castle was to be holding an extravagant ball consisting of leaders from many of the distance lands within OZ; however, Dee Dee had decided early on she wasn't going to be staying for too long. "You're the only one that can do magic in your realm to keep them away, and even them that's not enough. What are they trying to prove?"

The Princess slammed her fist on the wooden table covered in flour dough. The cook looked back at her but continued on with her numerous dishes. Dee Dee didn't have time to look around the huge kitchen she never seen until now. Instead, she had to calm the Princess, one of the few times she saw her so...so...non-coherent

Dee Dee took a red apple out of a basket sitting on one of the fruit tables. She rubbed it on her shirt and was about to put it in her mouth until the Princess waved her hand, and the apple floated back into the basket. Dee Dee quietly smacked her lips but understood the unrest.

She turned and leaned backwards on the wooden table, and listened to the Princess talk on and on about protection.

"Listen," Dee Dee started to explained. "How about we come up with a spell that will seal off the realms?" Dee Dee watched as the other girl paced back and forth, her hands on her hips. She looked back at Dee Dee. It could work. Dee Dee had been practicing her magic both at home and here in the castle with the guidance of Princess and Jefro, an eighty year old sorcerer who bounced around like a twenty year old.

The two girls ran outside of the castle to the ground's shed where Jefro often stayed in. It wasn't because he didn't have a room in the castle, he did. Apparently, he just liked to be out on the land.

They knocked on his door. He didn't answer so they knocked again, this time a bit anxious because the ball would be starting in about two hours and both girls still had to get ready. Dee Dee couldn't be late to the ball nor could she be late going back home; she had another date planned with Clara.

"Jefro, Jefro, open up!" Princess yelled. Nothing.

Dee Dee ran to one of the windows, and cupped her hands so as to see through the dusty glass. No one was there. "He's not here. Princess, we gotta get ready."

"Right, let's come back later tonight." She suggested.

"I can't." Dee Dee said, "I gotta get home after dinner."

Both girls stood there for a while, just letting a sigh escape. They headed back to the castle.
