"Dee Dee, you need to concentrate."

       "I am!"

"No, you're not." Princess stood up and paced about the garden with her hands on her hips. She looked from Dee Dee to Adina who was sitting on a near by bench. She glared at the young girl with the green skin. She didn't want to accuse Dee Dee of losing focus because of her new friend, but the green girl was a distraction even to Princess. Princess knelled down and closed the spell book Dee Dee was learning from. She took it and placed it under her arm, even while Dee Dee sighed. The two girls plus the side kick were partaking in spells the entire morning. Both were exhausted and maybe that was why Dee Dee was losing focus. There was a good chance she was just tired. Princess also let out a sigh, and looked at Dee Dee who sat with her head down. "I'm sorry." She said. "I didn't mean to snap at you. I just really want you to learn this and not be distracted from certain relations." Princess had lowered her voice to a whisper.

Dee Dee nodded her head and understood, but she still disagreed with the implications and made it quite clear. "Princess," Dee Dee started. "Have you ever thought to consider that my friendship with Adina could possibly change the interaction she has with your kingdom?" She looked at Adina who was fiddling with a random leaf. "I know you think I'm being selfish-"

Princess held up her hand, and shook her head. That was not what she wanted her friend to think. "That's not what I said, Dee Dee."

"You don't have to say it, Princess. I can see it in your eyes. A whole semester now we've been knowing each other and you still think I can't handle the complications of being friends with Adina."

Princess bit her bottom lip and she cocked her hip. "I don't think you're being selfish. Foolish, yes." Princess looked at Adina then rolled her eyes. She glanced at Dee Dee, let out another disappointed sigh and turned her back. Dee Dee watched the blonde girl walk back towards the castle. Just as she disappeared through the brush, bushes, and trees, Adina got off the bench. She walked to Dee Dee and placed a hand on her shoulder. Dee Dee turned to Adina then sat back down within the pile of leaves beneath them.

"I don't get it. Why does Jefro have more faith in you than her?"

Adina shrugged. She had come to a conclusion a while back that it was probably because of his age. He was wiser, smarter, and had more life experience in this land. Maybe he saw something in Adina that she herself couldn't see, and of course, her parents didn't see-then Adina thought. There was a chance that her parents actually did see what Jefro saw and that could explain why they're so nervous about her lack of determination for taking back the kingdom. Truth-Adina even went so far to lie to her parents simply so she could remain being friends with Dee Dee, being able to interact with her. Over these months, Adina had come to look forward to Dee Dee's visits.

The two girls walked down a dirt trail which took them to a creek that was far off from the castle of Princess. Their words were small, and there was a sense of contentment among the two. Princess and Dee Dee usually had good times when it was just them hanging out, but when Adina was added to the picture, the tension would build up. Princess would complain about Dee Dee being okay show casing her spells in front of Adina. She was paranoid the green skinned girl would some how use it against Dee Dee. Princess would call Dee Dee naive when they were alone together. Even with so much time passing between all three girls, Dee Dee still couldn't figure out how to get Princess to relax.

Dee Dee took off her ruby red heels. She placed them over by a fallen tree. Her hands felt the fallen tree; she wanted to make sure it wasn't too moist to sit upon. When she felt the tree was dry, she raised her skirt a little bit and sat down. Adina walked over to her smiling. Dee Dee watched as Adina took off her black boots, first untying them. She sat them underneath the tree next to Dee Dee's heels. Adina raised her hands to her shirt and slowly began undressing. She walked toward the creek and by the time she dipped her toe in, she was naked. Her body slowly merged into the water as she waded toward the center of the creek. It didn't look like it from where Dee Dee was, but the creek was a lot deeper than what Dee Dee expected.
