Prologue
Remember. He told me to remember it. I wasn't sure what I am supposed to do. All I remembered was being chase out by my owner few months ago. I will never forget the day when my old owner, threw me out of the house and gave me away. Her child just stood there crying profusely, watching me leaving the house. Must have been the animal enlistment letter that they received a few days ago. I have no choice i couldnt choose not to go. I followed the military personnel into the truck, feeling depressed. Something sharp and painful injected on my upper body, I couldn't remember what happened after that. I just couldn't.
"Remember, when you aim your target, ensure your right upper paws hold onto the gun against your torso. Look through the scope, never ever let go your gun from now. Slowly trigger your weapon off and try not to press it abruptly." The human soldier told me as I was holding on to a modified M4 carbine rifle. Some shots were fired. The target fell down as all the bullets went through it. "Well done Chase, you did it outstandingly. Your pretty new around here, but performances like this will get you to more treats and better treatments. Don't forget your future postings depend on you." Thats what he said, as he left the firing range.
I guess I am done with that shooting test. I mean I shot a lot since 2hours ago and I excelled in all the live firings. I packed my stuffs and used my mouth to throw my bag against my upper torso. Onto my four paws, I slowly walked back to my very own camp.
I remember me head-bumping onto the door as it flung open. It is a very special camp for dogs with special abilities and well trained animals. It was condusive I would say during that time. The room was air-conditioned, some human soldiers even complained that their own bunks doesn't have air conditioners, comparing even to us having maximum ventilation within our area, it was good enough already. There was a lot of top-notch pet houses in that area, enough food and treats to keep us fed everyday. I just don't know why am I thinking so much about the safety of that place though. Maybe it's just something that doesn't change there.
"Hey Chase." Marshall said. "Hey Marshall." That's what i replied since I didn't really feel like talking during that time. Marshall is quite a decent pup to be honest, just that he's clumsy most of the time. At least he's the nicest pup around here.
Apart from Marshall, there are some of my best mates and friends there as well.... Wait, not forgetting Skye. I always feel that Skye have feelings for me, but I think I will leave it at the back of my head for now.
