12th November 2038, 10.00am, The Chad Highway To Libya

Scamp is driving as all the paw patrol pups are driving at 50miles per hour at the highway. Scamp turned and looked at Angel who's sitting at the passenger seat. Angel looked back and gave Scamp a sad face, and turned back and looked at me. Scamp understood and drove slower. "Chase, you feeling alright back there?" He said as he drinks his pup water bottle. "Yeah I'm alright thanks for asking." I replied as I looked at my bandages again, reminding myself that it could have been worse if I died back at the petrifiers base.
"You sure? You don't look so well now Chase." He said as he pulled a blanket over my body as I started to shiver. "God, you're having a fever." Spike said as he touched my pup forehead. "Sigh, coming." Angel said as she left the passenger seat and crossed over to the back of the cop truck and assisted me. "That definitely won't feel good...difficulty in breathing is real." I said as I closed my eyes slowly and trying my best to get some sleep. "Skye, I need you to land your helicopter on Chase's truck. He needs you by his side."
"Copy that, this pup's gonna land." Skye said as she flew to my truck and landed on top and secured. She exited and entered the back of the truck and slept beside me.
"How are you feeling dear?"
"Trying to feel good. Definitely tired but don't worry dear." I said as I continued to rest.
"Still the same Chasie dear, trying to be the strongest pup in the world." Skye said as she sat down and stare at the outside world scenery while patting me to sleep.
Skye and Angel begin to chat together at the back of the truck, while Spike sat at the passenger seat while Scamp is driving. "What do you think about Chase?" Scamp asked while driving.
"He's really humble, strong and somehow the nicest pup I ever known." Spike replied. "I just wished that I could help him more at some point of time. He taught me a lot about life." Spike continued as he turned back and noticed that I fell asleep. Scamp nodded as he shifted to the next gear on the gear stick.
"I believe you already helped him a lot by defending his ass back there. You can't do much at that situation. Since now you are with us, you should get to know us and we should get to know you. It would be essential for future trips." Scamp replied.
"I didn't help much, I'm just a pup that's afraid to die with pain."
"The more you are afraid, the more likely you will die. Have more confidence in yourself. This isn't the world like it used to be. Its doomsday, full of hell that is. Anyway I see that you're holding a military M4 rifle, you must be from a pup unit before." Scamp said as he notices Spike's rifle.
"Yea. Sergeant Spike here. Ex Infantry pup."
"Corporal First Class Scamp. Ex K9 pup."
"Wait, Chase is from K9 last time as well. You 2 are related somehow?"
"He's my group commander. Group Sergeant Chase."
"Thats a high rank. A Sergeant is very high rank for pups already. I never seen a pup that's group Sergeant before." Spike replied.
"I know. Thats why I am glad he's my group commander last time. Mostly group commanders are handled by humans where their ranks are higher classified than us. For Chase? Legend enough." Scamp said as he drank some water from his pup bottle.
"So...what about you Scamp? Hows life back then?" Spike continued.
"Good enough. Corporal First Class is above average pup IQ and EQ combined together. Pups that doesn't know human language usually are recruits. Typical. We are one of the few ones to be able to communicate to the humans back at our training days. Missed those days." Scamp said as he recalls.
"We all do. Back at my unit we were all dirty. Running into tough terrains and muds, especially when your carrying guns and pup armours. I struggled a bit. Managed to get a Sergeant pup rank is a blessing." Spike replied.
"Well, all due respect ex Sergeant Spike. Haha." Scamp replied.
"No pressure corporal first class. Hey Scamp, have you lost someone in this apocalypse world... and you can't seem to forget?" Spike asked out of curiousity.
Scamp drove slower and replied after a short silence. "Yes. I do. My sisters. 3 of them. Annette, Collette and Danielle. They died during the nuclear breakout."

"I'm sorry." Spike replied.
"Don't be. It's meant to be then it's meant to be." Scamp replied.
"Your parents? Where are they?"
"I lost contact with them. Hope they are still alive. But I don't feel anything about my family and owners anymore. I survived with Angel and they weren't there for me. I'm alone and petrified during those days."
"I feel you." Spike said as both of them starred at the front.
"Have you ever blamed yourself Scamp?"
"A lot of times, but not as many as Chase. He's the one who helped us a lot and carried our ass into surviving. He blames a lot on himself for not able to save the ones he love."
"I understand why he feels that way. I'm glad he have someone to love him. " Spike said as he noticed Skye constantly looking at Chase and checking if he's alright.
"Skye is always around him. So don't worry too much." Scamp replied as he turned to the left entry to a break and rest station, following the rest of the trucks at the front.
"Rest stop, let's park the vehicle at the side." Ryder said as everyone parked at the side of the edge.
Spike and Scamp carried me out of the truck and brought me out as I really need to. "Seems like your fever is down, your injuries are slowly recovering, you're looking well as well." Scamp told me as Tracker and Zuma approached to me and check if I'm doing alright.
"I'm going to search the premises, Zuma, Everest, come with me." Tracker said as he reloaded his ak47 and walked towards the gas station. "Roger." Zuma and Everest raised their weapons and followed Tracker behind. The three of the pups walked slowly as they noticed 6 petrol gas ports. "Load up the canisters. We need the fuel of these 6 ports." Zuma sat down and started to pump the petrol fuel into the canister, while Everest placed her canisters beside Zuma and Everest scouted the area and ensuring that no ones around them.
Marshall, Angel and Scamp ran over to them and covered Zuma while he topped up their canisters as well.
Marshall noticed some movements inside the petrol mart. A head popped out from the counter and hidden back again. "Huh? Scamp, Scamp." Marshall whispered to Scamp.
"What?"
Marshall pointed to the counter direction and showed a danger hand signal. Scamp immediately pulled his weapon out when suddenly a grown up man pulled out a RPG-7 and fired a rocket to the gas station.
"Get down pups!!" Scamp shouted as he pushed Marshall aside and the rocket blew up the gas station, explosions from gasolines and flammable liquids burning Everest and Angel as they started to run around moaning with pain.
