"So you've been here the entire time?" Cameron asked, taking a sip from his coffee. We had been talking for hours about the events that we've missed in each other's lives.
"Yeah, pretty much." I sighed. It felt strange to be sitting here with Cameron again, having an entire conversation. Just as he was about to say something else there was an ear-piercing scream.
I turned around just in time to see Gilinsky tripping over the rug and into the other room. Cameron started to crack up behind me.
"H-He's always been scared of ghosts." He laughed, practically on the ground. Well shit, Jack thought I was a ghost. Since he was only in the other room we could hear him clearly.
"Dude! I swear there's a ghost here!" Gilinsky yelled, waking the other guys up.
"There's no such thing as ghosts." Jack said, laughing.
"Then explain why Anna's sitting in the other room talking to Cam!" Gilinsky yelled again, sounding desperate to convince him.
"You're just seeing things, man." Jack told him, and Gilinsky let out a frustrated groan.
"Go see for yourself!" Gilinsky said, and there were footsteps towards the door. The door opened and there was another shriek, causing Cameron and I to start laughing again.
"What's going on?" Matt asked, walking down the stairs. He was still half asleep.
"The Jacks saw me." I laughed. Another groan came from the room and then the door burst open. Gilinsky charged from the door and jumped on me.
"She's real!" He screamed, and Jack, Carter, and Nash came charging out of the room at me. Before I knew it I was engulfed in boys. Every girls dream, I know. But frankly, I couldn't breath.
"Get off of me." I said, trying to push them off of me before I got crushed. Matt and Cam noticed, so they tried to get them to give me space.
"C'mon guys, she can't breath." Matt said, pulling me out of the giant hug that the others had me in. I felt calmer once I was in Matt's arms.
The others stood there staring at me. I would've been shocked too. I didn't know what to do so I stood there somewhat awkwardly.
"You're alive?" Carter asked.
"I'm alive... I'm Lacey." I said, and their eyes went wide again.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Johnson asked.
"Thought I could keep up the act..." I said, still somewhat awkwardly. I'd never really thought out how any of this would have gone. Honestly, I never thought it would.
"You two knew?" Gilinsky asked Matt and Cameron.
"And Hayes." Cam said.
The guys all seemed somewhat happy. Except for Nash, he had been quiet the whole entire time.
"Are you and Matt...?" Nash asked, gesturing to how Matt was holding me. I nodded and his face suddenly turned angry.
"Fuck you." He said, then walked out of the apartment, making sure to slam the door behind him.
Great.
