Chapter IX

A/N - Before this chapter begins, I'd like to give a huge thank you to Narrisse for all the kind comments and IshiKateCapiendo for adding this book to their reading list. I'm also going to try to upload more consistently, and since I was gone for so long, I'm gonna set out to quickly upload 3 or 4 (not rushed of course) chapters, starting with this one.

Prologue

"Addison?" The headmaster said, "They didn't find out, did they?"

Present

"Sadly, yes, Mrs Chay." Addison mumbled. Kira's jaw dropped for a few seconds. She took the piece of paper.

"Mrs. Chay was my driver!" She wrote, "Now she's the headmaster? And she knows about all this?"

Romeo read the paper over. "I know.." he simply wrote.

Mrs. Chay was silent for a few seconds.

"Well." She said sternly, "Why don't we get them out of that closet then?" Addison nodded, turning to the door, as Nico, Kira, and Romeo all gasped and stood up. The door was flung open, almost off of it's hinges, and Mrs Chay stood with Addison at the door.

"So you found out." Mrs Lilith Chay muttered.

"I guess.." Kira muttered, taking a step back. In an instant, Addison's hand was on her neck.

"Nope. No running this time." Addison growled in a metallic voice. She pushed Kira to the ground harshly, earning a yelp. She realized Romeo was holding the wooden handle of a broom he'd found somewhere in the supply closet

"I'm going to make you wish you never did that." He growled, sounding almost like a demon.

He brought the handle down upon Addison's neck, earning nothing but a slight dent. Addison just chuckled and pushed him on Kira, effectively knocking her out.

"Kira!" Nico shouted. "Kira! Wake up!" 

But Kira wouldn't. All she could think was "Please wake up.. I gotta help them.. FUCKING WAKE UP!"

She opened her eyes just in time to see Nico roar with rage and lethally plunge a taser right into where Addison's heart would be. Addison trembled and fell to the ground. as Lilith Chay took a step back in absolute fear. The room went silent. Addison was laying on the ground, almost completely dismantled, mostly from the fact that Romeo was literally bashing the robot to pieces with his broom handle.

Lilith raised her hands in submission and unlocked every door in the school.

"You win." She muttered, "You uh.. You obliterated Addison."

Kira laughed and slipped the taser out of Nico's pocket. She looked at Romeo, playfully shoved him back, and jabbed Addison with the taser, the electricity waves hitting her at the maximum setting.

"It's dead already!" Lilith screamed and started running away. Romeo threw the broom handle at her as they started running for the exits.

Kira slammed her side into the door, slamming it with such force that all of the top hinges broke. The gate was open. This was their chance to escape and quite possibly go to the police. They ran at full speed, passing the track and field track and leaping over small rocks. But it wasn't over yet. 

Lilith was standing on the roof of the school with a sleek, black revolver. A loud boom was heard as Romeo fell to the ground, clutching at his leg desperately.

yeah so i'm really used to just stopping chapters on cliffhangers and now this is really short but imma try to make the next chapters like 1,000 or so words. so around double this chapter.
